In the five years I was a tenant with JMC, my experience with all the staff was always positive. Props always to the maintenance staff who came out and were able to fix the issues in a timely manner. This past year the bathroom fan was causing some issues, maintenance came out and took care of within a matter of days. While they were at the house, they also fixed an outlet that had become loose and replaced the whole set. They provided wonderful service.
Working with the office staff was always easy and efficient. If I had any other issues with the house, the front office or Cassandra, was always willing to listen and help try to resolve the issue. At the end of my lease, I worked with Levi, and he was also very great with explaining the end-of-lease process. Once moved out, I received the standard invoice with deposit. The invoice had description notes where the amount was less than expected. I reached out to JMC for clarity, and they promptly re-reviewed the information and apologized for their oversight and sent me an additional check. I was impressed with JMC’s willingness to review and their response with “you are absolutely right!” This continues to demonstrate JMC’s stellar service and care for their tenants. I would choose and recommend JMC, again. Thank you JMC for all the wonderful years of service!

I have been very impressed with the facilities, maintenance, and ease of move in process. JMC has been very responsive and helpful. I am currently living in a building with several apartments, and I am extremely happy with my living arrangement!

I was their tenant for two years. The house was in excellent condition, and they responded to issues very quickly. What impressed me the most was their honesty—they returned the full house deposit. Thank you for being a good host.

Absolutely a scam of a company was robbed for 360$ to clean the top of a fridge and apparently a bathtub with hard water staying because I had hard water for a year and 4 months. Apartment was old and smelly all old appliances I have nothing but problems with. Water heater went out and took them 1 months to replace, dryer belt snapped and took them 2 months to replace because it's from 2004. Anytime I had a issue I was supposed to talk to CASSANDRA and I don't understand how she is even employed there the way she talks to tenants and is just rude maybe she needs a different job if she hates this one idk. I cleaned whole apartment for them to charge me for cleaning top of fridge top of stove and apparently they cleaned tub more but when I asked for after pic was sent a picture so blurry you cant see that there is a drain plug in the corner of picture. I kindly asked for a clearer picture because the before picture was clear as day but the one I have to pay for you can't see anything in picture. Was told by Cassandra simply (I provided you pictures have a good day) seriously that's how you run your company grow up scumbag awful company would rather sleep in a box than rent another property from them. Owners beware not all companies are as reasonable as they seam. Also anyone above Cassandra wanna address this every time she was disrespectful on the phone never once did I get to speak to someone over her shady company DO NOT RENT FROM THEM I REPEAT SAVE YOUR MONEY Awful COMPANY THAT SCAMS AND TREATS THERE TENANTS LIKE TRASH

As a military family with multiple relocations under our belt, we have worked with a handful of property management companies over the past ten years. Overall, our experience with Jakobson was positive.
The property was well maintained and accurately listed, with what we felt was fair market pricing. The only area we experienced some dissatisfaction with was their communication: this was conducted primarily through text messages, which, on several instances, lacked clarity. For example, we were abruptly notified that the property would be listed for sale with no further details in what that would mean for our current lease term, potential showings, etc, until we inquired further.
Considering the positives outweigh our single area for improvement, we confidently recommend Jakobson. We appreciate them for contributing to our seamless cross-country move to Minnesota and would work with them again if the need arises.

My fiancé and I both have been renting for 5+ years, have never had any issues anywhere else, and have never received anything less than our full security deposit as we are very clean and responsible people. When we rented from this company, they kept half of our security deposit (over $700) for supposed “cleaning fees” and had outrageous ways to try and justify it and would not provide any form of receipts when we asked them to explain to us the charges. They proceeded to tell us that what’s done is done and that there was nothing we could do. I have never felt so scammed and can only hope that someone doesn’t make the same mistake we did by renting here.

Working with Kylie at Jakobson Management Company has been a great experience! She and the others in the office were incredibly kind, helpful, and timely throughout our rental search process! There help and patience with all of our questions was exemplary and greatly reduced the overall stress of the experience! And we even got to sign on our dream rental!

HORRIBLE Company! This company is money hungry, they do not update anything in the yards or around the homes. Snow removal gets taken care of way after the snow has been done for a long while, causing cars to be stuck in the back driveway. They are trying to raise the association fee to $230 (from $180 already) a month per unit!! Absolutely crazy! This does not include garbage or any utilities! Last summer, there was one guy mowing all the lawns with his personal lawn mower. He was driving in circles and missed a huge majority of the dandelions. The bushes never got trimmed, weeds did not get sprayed, and the rocks in the gardens are very low where you can see the black liners! They also dictate where your cars are parked and how long they have been sitting there. Mind you, this is what we are paying the association fee for! Trash company.

I have been SUPREMELY pleased at the beyond-excellent service of this office. Every question has been answered, and every possible accommodation has been made, if possible. I've looked at several other companies in the Rochester area---and none of them come close to matching the care and service of Jakobson Management. I highly recommend them.
