Everything is fun to look at, but that’s all you’re going to be able to do with the prices.

Prices were quite expensive (they wanted $125 for a glass fish). The owners seemed okay but it was 5:00 and they told us they'd be closing soon. They close at 6:00. There was a lot of stuff though. Although it was very disturbing that they had a chair in the basement for sale that was made of slave hair. That definitely should not be available to purchase ($100). That either belongs to a museum to properly dispose of, or it should be respectfully disposed of in another way. It seems unethical to me to even have that for sale.

Price a bit on the higher side. But they have some special items.

I agree with the comments about the high prices. And another comment about the store clerks not wanting to sell anything.I offered $200.00 cash for a $225.00 item that's been sitting on their dusty shelves for at least 2 years that I know. The old man is so rude. You think the old man and woman are sweet? Try asking for a deal.

Old Rooster has a wide variety of beautiful items to admire for a first-timer, but that is about it. It is clear from the layers of dust on merchandise, the laughable prices, and the never-changing selection that it appears to be nothing more than a place to show off their goods, as I have rarely seen anybody purchasing anything during the times I had visited. Ironically, I overheard the employees discussing the fact that nobody is buying items anymore, but they (and a number of the vendors) seem entirely out of touch with reality regarding pricing, item descriptions and "rarity". Lamps listed for hundreds as mid-century and vintage with a made in China sticker, an empty plastic Aunt Jemima syrup bottle for $10.00, two pairs of disposable restaurant chopsticks for $4.00.. I have found many, many items they have for sale, at far lower prices elsewhere. My suggestion to Old Rooster, the employees, owners and dealers: Be more realistic with your pricing, modernize your store, and remember that your customers are your lifeline. People listen, and people talk. It is a shame, I enjoy browsing locally, however every other antique store in the surrounding communities are priced far better, friendlier, more modern and offer a better shopping experience. I would recommend a short trip to Stewartville, Kasson or Mantorville instead.

Huge inventory

This place is way overpriced. All of the antique stores in an hour radius and find much better deals. Also, a couple of the ladies that work there follow you around from booth to booth, watching you like you're going to steal or break something. It's very annoying and completely ruined the last experience I had there. Will not be returning.

They have one of the best glass collections I’ve seen. And be sure to check out the furniture section in the basement. The two running the place are as sweet as can be.

Very nice people, a little pricier compared to other antique stores.
