Honest review. This was my first trip to Mayo Clinic and I am so glad I disregarded the few negative online reviews I read. I staying in the Towers, King Executive and OMG....I am not kidding when I say this is an excellent hotel, hands down, the best and super easy access to Mayo... literally like 12 steps from from entrance. The concierge met me downstairs and hauled up my luggage, explained everything and where to go for food, etc. I was on the 10th floor and only the 10 & 11th floors have to use your key card to get access from elevator. On the 11th floor is an amazing lounge area that resembles a quiet, comfy hangout where I met a few others that we would see routinely and had conversations. They had anything you needed, 24/7 to eat, drink, including beer and mixed drinks, FREE. The parking is free too for the Towers. Anything you need, concierge has you. Great place to be if you need surgery too. I need to come back to Mayo, and I am staying here. The shower pressure and temperature was great, but the bathroom has no fan or great toilet pressure, but flushes fine. The rooms are about 97% sound proof. It's an old hotel, newly updated, and I loved it. Everyone was just great ?Just book it.Rooms: Large, spacious, bathroom large.Safety: Very safe.Walkability: Everything is walking. Just park in parking garage and walk entire trip. Everything connected by walking subway (no train)or skyway.Food & drinks: Tons of places to eat and go.Noteworthy details: There is shops in the hotel and plaza area. Chester's Restaurant was excellent and restaurants deliver to hotel lobby. There is a small mini mall just outside hotel too. Easy access to Mayo. If you stay in the Towers you also get free complimentary valet parking.

Excellent hotel with more amenities than we could have asked for. I would return in a heartbeat. The lounge, pool, and hot tub were fantastic. Great breakfast, and I'm sure the tea times and cocktail hours are also lovely. I really appreciated having a 24-hour lounge available. I have very high standards, and the only note I have is to make the light-blocking shades more obvious or have instructions written on how to use them. On the first of two nights we stayed, we didn't know they existed and only had light shades that let in a lot of outside light.

Took my wife for testing and surgery at Mayo Clinic... got to our room at the Kahler and it was 62 degrees in the room.... the heat would not come on... called and they sent maintenance to "fix it" which amounted to covering the duct where AC was coming in with a pillow... stayed for 4 days and it never got above 65 degrees in the room even after they "fixed" it.... called and asked to talk to a manager four times, left messages for them... no response until after we left and was then told it was too late to for them to issue a partial refund... the place is a dump with an incompetent, uncaring staff and management... do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else...Rooms: NO HEAT !!!!!!!!

Unfortunate experience for us. Started out with a mismanaged valet service interaction and continued with the front desk and restaurant not answering the phone for several calls (each time I had to go down to the desk). Under staffed and uninspired would best describe the service experience. The room was okay and the location is excellent, one minute walk to the Gonda Building. To end our stay they couldn’t find my valeted car for quite awhile even though I specifically asked way ahead of time for it to be brought up for 1 pm. I feel for the staff that are trying but owner/management need to step up their training and hiring as this entire stay was more work than it needed to be, especially since my partner is going through chemotherapy and it caused extra stress.

Came here for an extended stay for treatment at Mayo. The rooms were simple, functional and fantastically setup for the stay we needed. This is not priced as a high end hotel, yet it feels like one in its service ... although the elder valet is a j*** and blocked me in when I was trying to leave Friday morning ... all about himself and the tip he was seeking from the customer with the large SUV he was bringing around for them. The parking garage is around the corner and limited in space, but easily accessible and runs $16/day. The gift shop has a lot and many food services to choose from onsite and around the premises. The underground state is fantastic and allows you to avoid dealing with the inclement weather conditions. Again, the front desk and support staff are very friendly and fantastic here. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area, especially if you are there for Mayo.

We have been here since January 8, 2023 . There is nothing the concierge team won’t do to help. David, Hisham, Cameron and Lawrence cater to your every whim. I feel so blessed to be in their care. They have become family to us. This floor is an extension of Mayo Clinic care .The team wants you taken care . Thank you for David and his team. They are the towers greatest asset!

Is this a joke?!?! Everything went bad on are trip, never going here again. Worst Hotel in the United States. Here are 3 reasons why...1. Smallest Refrigerator, they dont give a larger one.2. AC was broke, they refused to fix it.3. We ordered pizza, but they wouldnt let the pizza man go up the elevator, my dad cant walk, and I'm too young to go on my own, so we had to wait 30 minutes for are pizza to come up, by that time the pizza was cold.I would give 0 stars if I could.

Let me tell you. We booked at this hotel for exactly the pool and then we couldn't use it, okay that's reasonable because they can't control that but then they told us that the pool would not be opened for the next two days because they had to drain it. Well the next day right before we were about to leave the pool is somehow magically opened so you payed almost $200 for a hotel that has horrible customer service and small beds that aren't even comfortable. The only good thing about this hotel is if you need to get to Mayo clinic otherwise save your money and go somewhere else.

Better than a two It's the Old Classic in Roch The rates keep falling Thirty years ago probably would have paid double to stay here. If there is one thing Rochester has plenty of, it is hotels. The Mayo Clinic brings many, many people to town. Rochester is one of the places you don't want to ask anybody "so what brings you to town?". They have done a nice job of keeping the rooms modern feeling even though the Hotel has been around since 1921. Major renovations took place in 2020. Room had a fridge which was a major plus. Minor complaint that is common for me with old hotels. The walls seemed thin. Heard lots of noise and comings and goings when I was trying to sleep in the early morning. If ya got the bucks, make it rain at a 200+ place per night. If you are looking to spend a hondo, the Kahler Grand will treat you right.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the special attention and genuine desire to accommodate our needs. It seems that David and Cameron are on a mission to spoil us. Also, our room is fabulous; spacious, well appointed, and very clean. It is perfectly located to access appointments at Mayo as it is located across the small street from the main building where appointments take place. When we return, this is definitely where we will stay.

My first room was dirty. They upgraded me to one without a working shower. Not all elevators go to my floor

David Fischer with Kahler Hospitality Group is absolutely fantastic!!! A family member is attending the Mayo Clinic and David has completely gone out of his way to call, send emails to make sure our trip is all set up. Please thank David for making his Guests feel like they're #1!

We stayed downstairs because the towers were closed. It was wonderful and clean . Beds were comfortable. A great place to stay and convenient to Mayo Clinic. The front desk was helpful and gracious. I love the Kahler

My room was paid in advance and was a room that looked like a broke down project room that had food on the floor that looked like worms. The thermostat was from back in the 70's and the air was not working. The bathroom was big enough to turn around in. When I spoke to the manager she offered me another room with a roll away. I told her that's not what I signed up for that I was misled by photos. She explained that bc it was booked thru a 3rd party that's why we got the worst room they had! I was moved to a handicapped room where the air wasn't blowing too much better but it was working. Wish I would hv taken pictures. Wish I would hv asked abt parking as well. Charged $18 4 a little over 12 hours.
