9:15 AM. NOT a banking holiday. Recording "Bankers at this branch are not able to answer the phone". Same recording at 2 other Rochester branches.

Every time I stop here I'm reminded why I hate Wells Fargo. Long wait times, unhelpful employees, and all around bad customer service is the usual. If I didn't HAVE to use them I wouldn't come back in a million years.

I have been a customer of WF for 40 years but am ready to pull the plug if the Rochester offices I normally use don't open REAL soon. I went to the SW office this morning to make a cash withdrawal larger than allowed by an ATM and found the doors were locked and a sign saying appointments only. I then checked the websites of the other offices I normally use (before I wasted more of my precious gas) and found they are also closed, appointments only. I have never heard of such a lousy business practice. - a customer can't withdraw money from their account. WF has given no reason for the closures but if it's covid-related, I don't understand since I have shopped at Target, Home Depot and Hy-Vee this week and also work out daily at the RAC. My wife suggests we start looking for a new bank, perhaps Think. I'm thinking it over - real hard.

So I have not had a good experience at this location or the other one near downtown. I have been going to the one by Natural Grocers. I hate Wells Fargo. They are the quintessential national fee based bank with bad customer service. I like the people at the one branch but the other branches and national call center ruin it for me. I wouldn't even use a free bank account here because they are so rude both on the phone on the 1-800 number and in person. Let alone a mortgage. Went with Veterans United for that. Look up the ratings... you don't have to believe me. Just trying to warn you.

Hated it. Worst service ever! Employee gave me false information over something simple online turned into them taking money out of my account and charging me. FOR NO REASON OVER BANK ACCOUNT STATEMENTS WHICH I ASKED WHERE TO GO ONLINE FOR ME TO PRINT OUT..tell me why they acted as though i asked them to mail it to me? Umm I DIDN'T!! unprofessional place this was icing to the topping I'm planning on closing my account!

I found the loan officers, in fact, are not required to be licensed here at the bank as the Fed doesn't require it. Found Well requirements too strict and confusing. I went to a local mortgage company and got closed in record time and at a lower rate.

when i opened an account i called for complete confidentiality and that my name not be sold or used. i have been harassed by telemarketers since - someone got my information and is using it as a phone scam to sell products from wells fargo - they claim they can only remove my name from the list if i supply my social security number. i feel safer with a locally owned bank.
