My appointment was cancelled twice and when I finally made one that was successful, I was bombarded with calls asking me to clarify information and I finally got ahold of someone there, they told me “they weren’t good at talking to people.” I was told on the phone by this person that they would be able to help me as I did my taxes but didn’t agree with the fact that I had to pay in, so I wanted a professional to look at it. They had already changed my appointment time twice, when I finally get there they told me they were running an hour behind. The lady at the front desk called me the wrong name, reported different conversations that she believed she had with me but never did, and made up a bunch of stuff, all for me to come back 4 days later due to their mistakes. When I show up for my rescheduled appointment, they told me they had not looked any of the files uploaded, were all very confused on what I was asking for, then quoted me an extreme amount of money to do my taxes. Not to mention, the lady helping Dave out commented on my appearance, told me I looked scared then told me that if I pay Dave the amount that I “could learn a thing or two.” I ended up leaving because everyone there seemed incompetent and gave me horrible vibes. It’s not the amount of money I was quoted that upset me, it’s the fact that the staff were unprofessional, untimely, and disrespectful. If I was going to pay that much money, I want to be confident that the person I am paying is competent. Dave looked like a deer in the headlights! Talk about looking scared 🤣 save your money and TIME and go literally anywhere else!

Had a very poor experience here unfortunately, we spent 2 hours having our taxes filed and they were unable to finish them and still charged us the full amount to then have to file online on our own. Would not recommend.

When situations arise where it's going to take over a month for filing, should keep the customer notified and offer to lower the filing fee. I was offered a $70 fee discount, which I accepted and am thankful for. But because most customers like myself are at work during the week, it's burdensome on our part to have to continue following up when the tax prep company is experiencing delays and not communicating that fact well. I started by filing at Roseville, then got bounced to a 2nd location (where they seemed confused about my return), then got bounced to a 3rd location in Woodbury when something apparently happened to the 2nd location's emergency tax pro. Just too many delays and weak communication.

I recommend avoiding this office. The person who did our taxes seemed barely capable. We only chose to visit an “expert” because when we started online, we had a huge tax bill so we decided we should talk to someone. Dozens of typos, which I painstakingly pointed out as he completed each page. Our documents were available since we’d uploaded them, which he acknowledged but didn’t know how to retrieve them.Worst of all, when he “confirmed” the taxes owed and we asked what our deferral options were, do we have any options to pay over time or later in the year, his actual out loud response was, “No. Unless YOU want to call the IRS, wait on hold for hours, and ask, but even then they will likely say no.”Later we called H&R Block and tried to explain and ask for help—because you can in fact pay later and he should have helped us with that—but were told it was too late.Not a single person at H&R Block was helpful to us; all we wanted was to pay our tax bill in August. They charged us $250 for the pleasure of their ineptitude and rudeness.
