This is one of the better dollar generals. They carry a lot of fresh produce, dairy, drinks galore, frozen foods and some meats. Plenty of dry groceries, candy, household items, some clothing, laundry needs, decor and lots of toys. A lot of variety.

The staff are friendly. The store has most everyrhing you could need for household. Very convieniant. Nice that it's close. Good prices.

Staff extremely rude. Was standing at the register, while clerk was putting away stock behind register. Another clerk walked up and said you have a customer, and the first clerk said he can wait till I finish. This was not the first instance, but it will be the last. On top of that, items and selections are very in comparison to the store in Eyota. Would not recommend the St. Charles store at all.

Not enough help. Felt sorry for the two workers on duty as it seemed they were trying to checkout, unload a truck, stock shelves, and take a breather all at once.

The wait time is always long in order to check out, and the store always seems cluttered and unorganized. But, on the plus side they usually have friendly staff and a great selection to choose from.

I prefer to shop local but they have a lot of things other stores in town don't have which has been nice.
