It's amazing when you finally are able to get your first big loan , you work so hard to get your credit where it is and you see the great reviews this Credit Union has .It is reassured to me the difference between reading other people reviews and actually getting the opposite service .I applied for a loan to see if I would be pre-approved.I also became a member like they asked for me to be able to go Ford with the loan .I get an email of them requesting my legal statues on as I have Daca which is legal residency o legal immigration. Statues to live here, work and study, I eveny pay taxes for our beautiful city of saint paul.I sent over my SS CARD and work ID .And still they asked for a passport of the country I came from when I was 6 years old . Note Minnesota is my home the only thing I know . And asked for a visa . Saying it's in their policy . I never know that discrimination or a policy having to do with my residency was actually a thing.Therfore I asked for an email copy of their policy . I spoke with Kimberly Ostad on this matter which her supervisor , I don't recall her name at the moment called me. Instead of letting me read their policy she called me .I politely explained everything and asked her for the policy an email that never arrived .Not only that I asked her if there's anything she was willing to do for that matter, she said no I politely told her there's no more calls needed since we can go on with the loan .I HIGHLY SUGGEST DACA RECIPIENTS to no use this credit union . Waste of time and ignorance in the policies .Daca recipients are legal immigrant who didn't have a choice to live here but made this country home . A credit union that has no knowledge on those statues should not be open .And many may disagree but I will place a discrimination card on this .It's sad and like I said any DACA RECIEPIENT go get a loan at another Credit Union . I recommend Spirit, or Hiway. Event the metropolitan of Saint paul credit union .

VERY DISAPOINTED!!! My husband and i came to this bank today Wed 25th Oct at 3:30pm and we know they close at 4, so we thought we had 30mins which is enough for open a checking account for me. She refused and said that they closed at 4. I questioned her it was still working hour and she said it took about 30mins to open a checking account so why i could not do that today? And she said because she had other appointments now but honestly nobody were waiting in line at that time. We were the last people today and nobody else after that. But it was okay for me if she said so. The point i was suprised here in US was the service. To be honest, in Asia their service is brilliant i have to admit. When i came in, there would be securities standing at the door in EVERY BANKS to open the door for me and he would ask what service i wanted to do and gave me the guidance which tables or lines i should wait for with a waiting number. my number would show up on a digital board together matching with the line number so i know exactly where i should go to for the service. Secondly, they never say no to customers. Even they are very busy they would ask someone to come and help. And even they already finish their working shift, they would try to stay back a bit to do the service because one more account open means one more sale for that day that helps them hit their monthly target sooner for the sales bonus/incentive. Customers in my country are always encouraged to fill in the feedback form secretly to make sure the Board of director know how the service going in every branches.

I've been a member since 2013.I'm really upset by just how rapidly their member services are going downhill. I'm going to look into St. Paul Federal Credit Union for my next loans.

Kimberly Oustad... where do I begin. AMAZING! She has gone overboard helping me in every way. From motorcycle loans, to car loans, personal loans, credit builder loans, credit cards even. She is amazing. No she is not the CEO so please don't just pile her with requests, but she answered so many questions and helped me out in so many ways. I am 26 years old and just opened my first line of credit roughly 4 months ago, I am above a 7.00 score already.. in less then 4 months! Kim is honest, straightforward, and so helpful. Honestly.. I hate banks/credit unions and so forth but she actually made my experience enjoyable and she explained the processes in ways even I can understand. Heck she even wished me a happy birthday!! If you are interested in a credit union or a bank, something new. Go to affinity plus and ask for Kimberly Oustad. I promise you will NOT regret it. She is the best person I have ever worked with that's including places like capital, wells, meta, US, wings, and so on.

Been with this credit union for over 26 years, not only are they racist but they discriminate against low income /disability customers. Am looking for new places to bank.

Well kinda well it sucks you can't call no one at this location for some questions. Always a call center. What if I don't have time to go to the bank. That's why we have phones. You guys should change that

Worst bank I have every dealt with. Bunch of scam artist trying to charge me four thousand dollars for insurance on my loan when I have provided proof of insurance 5 plus times. Funny how their slogan says not for profit for the people What a joke!!!! DO NOT BANK HERE!!!

I have been a member for over 10 years and never had a problem until today. Last fall I received a loan for debt consolidation to help my credit card debt. This winter my daughter died unexpectedly and I used my credit cards to help pay for her funeral and other house hold bills while I was grieving my loss. I called today to talk to the banker who helped me in the fall to do another debt consolidation and I explained that my daughter died and I used my credit cards for her funeral and household bills while I was unable to work. I wanted the loan for a lower interest rate. The bankers response was “ he will not approve my application and I need to take a budgeting course”. Ummm I wouldn’t be in this situation if my daughter didn’t die. It would be nice if your employees could show a little compassion and keep their comments to themselves. A simple no would of suffice.

Left my debit card in the ATM and forgot it so I had to report my card lost. I called and reported it and came in in-person to this location to get a new card. I was in and out within 5 minutes! Great customer service as well. Overall great experience!

Customer service has gone completely downhill. I’ve been a member for 13 years. My last interactions with staff regarding loans has been less than satisfactory. Seems they lost sight of their core values and what they built their reputation on.Opening my business account with a rep out of Bemidji did go smooth.

worst company ever.... next to impossible to make a payment online.... continuous technical roadblocks on a simple thing. It takes 5 days to establish and account w/these people... I was told I could make a payment in person.... seriously?!!!!

I LOVE THIS BANK! They have been endlessly helpful. I had to get a new credit card because my info had been stolen and I had a new credit card within less than 2 days of reporting it stolen. And I was living in New Mexico at the time!!!! Incredible!!!!

Car loan rates that used to be competitive are much higher than other credit Union rates now. Do not purchase their GAP insurance if they offer it - drunk driver totaled our car and after downloading 11 documents to get a small deductible refund they are still working on a decision. Because their rates were higher - we also missed a $1000 that could have been applied to a new loan through them due to our totaled vehicle. I have been a member for 35 years or so - I would not open accounts at Affinity Plus now. Try other credit unions that have better customer service and lower more competitive rates. Their fundamental listening skills are lacking and their overall lower customer feedback reviews do not matter to them. Do your banking somewhere else.
