The caring staff here really helped me get through a life threatening emergency for my 2 yo tabby. They got me in right away, immediately addressed my cat's pain with medication to keep him comfortable, and communicated clearly, frequently, and promptly. My kitty stayed the night with them, and they sent two text updates with pictures, called twice with updates, and encouraged me to call whenever I wanted. The vet was very clear about my cat's condition and walked me through all the possibilities going forward, giving me time and space to ask questions and explaining the options, and potential consequences, clearly. I am 100% certain my beloved pet would be dead without their life-saving care, and I cannot thank them enough for this.I hope I never need their services again, but they are saved in my phone as my preferred pet ER. My only other pet ER experience was really horrible, so they've changed my idea about what an animal hospital looks like.It's worth mentioning that they were very patient with me in applying for Care Credit, which I appreciate because not every animal hospital takes credit like that.

Our little guy started acting a bit more like himself as soon as we arrived and the staff was kind enough to offer just a quick vitals check or full visit. We opted for the quick vitals and he was ok! Off we went, but I'm so happy to know of this caring crew in case we need them again. Their quick availability, kindness, and sense of humor stood out! Thanks, all.

They were very busy on a Saturday but were one of the only places that would see my pup so I appreciate that. They did diagnose my pups issue and were able to resolve it that day! The location is very convenient and communication of the Vet was great.

I wish I could bring my dog here all the time. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Everything was well explained and I was asked if I had questions and given estimates before care.

I hit a kitty on the way home and gave them a call asking if they could help at all because he was still alive. The lady said I could bring him in to see if there was a chip. I wanted to help the kitty. She didn’t seem like she was willing to help save the kitty only willing to see who the owners were. The kitty did not end up making it sadly. I’m just sad my night ended like this. Please do better and try harder when people are clearly upset about an animal.

Thank you to all the Vets, techs, front desk staff, and all others who were involved in Loki's care. It was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door to when Loki was discharged. Loki was very critical and gravely ill upon arrival to the ER (St Paul location). I learned from the Vet, shortly after arrival, that Loki was likely in an addisonian crisis. The staff worked quickly to stabilize him and saved his life! The staff called twice a day to provide updates and offered detailed explanations regarding Loki's new diagnosis. AERC was extremely transparent around finances and was willing to work with our budget, while providing the best care for Loki. I cannot thank the staff at AERC enough for the care they provided to Loki and our family throughout this unexpected, and frightening, ordeal. I highly recommend AERC and would definitely return if the need should arise. THANK YOU AERC STAFF!!!*Photo is the day Loki was discharged home (2 days after he went into the ER). It also happened to be his 5th birthday ?. Thank you to AERC for making this day possible!

Responsive, helpful, reassuring, knowledgeable people. I was able.to be seen right away. Fiona got into my vitamin D bottle, and it's wasn't clear if she'd ingested any. With the colab of Pet Poison Hotline, we arrived at our best educated guess. Also we found she had a UTI, so we covered two issues at once. Calling Pet Poison Hotline in advance, and then transferring the case number netted me substantial savings, and I'm grateful for it.

The staff immediately took to ensuring my cat Jack was comfortable and being looked over. That gave me much relief as I was waiting. They made sure I was aware of all potential costs upfront and gave me options for his care. Staff did a very thorough evaluation and left me with everything I needed for his care at home and to follow up with my vet.
