Beware if you plan to use Beltman Moving and Storage in Minnesota. Chris Lehman handled the estimate which went very well so, we signed the contract for a cross country move with self packing and long term storage. Per Lizzie McAdam the 1st month storage would be included in the upfront charge. The driver and his crew were great. Minimal items were delivered to an apt, and the remainder into a North American storage facility for 7 months. A couple months later I reached out to the storage facility regarding billing and learned my 1st month storage hadn’t been included in the upfront charge. I re-checked the contract amounts and found I’d been overcharged nearly $900 due to a math error. After a few weeks of back and forth with Lizzie she said I would receive a credit upon delivery from storage. Months later when delivery day finally came, Lizzie was no longer with the company, and I was forced to pay the full storage and delivery charge. Eventually I got my $900 refund, but not easily. I purchased their replacement cost insurance with a $500 deductible, and was informed I would have 9 months to file a claim. Once everything had been delivered and unpacked, I filed a claim for seven damaged items but only one item was approved. The claim agent, Jeanne DuMont, said I missed the 9 month window for items delivered to the apartment. I had been given the impression that I had 9 months from “final delivery” to submit a claim. She said anyone with “common sense” would know a separate claim was required within 9 months of each delivery. She also said there was NO coverage on self packed items even though I have email documentation stating self packed items would be insured at .60/lb I’ve made several cross country moves with full packing service and know how it’s done. I spent over $500 on packing paper alone and know how to pack a box. If you’re considering using Beltman, double check your charges and be prepared to be ripped off and disrespected.

An onsite estimate was given. A load date was given to me of two and half weeks out. Then, poof. No pick up. I was told I did not confirm the contract.

We used Beltman relocation through North American Van lines to move from California to Tennessee. The driver David Shelton was phenomenal along with his crews in California and Tennessee. Always knew where the driver was in route and made good time for delivery. Highly recommended

Moved from CA to NY. It was headache after headache with this company. They packed our stuff on 12/9 saying it would be delivered by 12/19. We arrived on 12/15 thinking we only had a few days before our stuff arrived. We were then told that because of the holidays it would be delayed until 12/27. When we arrived in NY on 12/15 we were told our stuff hadn't even left CA. Then because of lack of crew we we're told it would arrive 1/3. Then we were told 1/4. Then we were told our stuff arrived had arrived in NY on 1/4 but would be able to be unpacked because they didn't have the equipment to move it. Our stuff finally arrived on the 7th. Thinking we would be nice, we bought the crew drinks and pizza. Only to have them leave the old plates, pizza boxes and used napkins thrown in our driveway. We have baby, when we asked about wearing masks, we got side eyes from the whole crew. The entire process was clunky, slow, and full of excuses. Very poor experience overall. We waited an entire month for our stuff.

I just recently use Beltmann relocation group to move me out of the state of Kansas for my company and the move was remarkable. From the beginning of the walkthrough of my items, packing and unpacking. Karen, Lisa and the movers all were very professional about the moving process. James and his crew did an awesome job packing and loading my items. What I loved the most is that the packing crew felt like I had known them for a long time. I even tried to help pack but was told to only pack my things from my dresser, then get out the way because it was their jobs to pack my items...lol ok then bye!! No seriously they all did an Awesome Job. Even the ones that unloaded and unpacked did an Awesome job as well. I recommend anyone to use Beltmann Relocation Group, if my company moves transfer me again I will use them.. You guys Rock!!

Could not recommend these guys enough. Hired them for a move from MN to CA. They offered a very competitive quote and were even able to deliver early. Workers were extremely courteous and efficient. So many moving companies out there that aren't transparent. These guys are the exact opposite. Highly recommend

In September 2019, we contracted with Beltmann to move our belongings from MN to FL. At best it was a mixed experience: the "good" aspects were quite good; the "bad" aspects were disappointing or worse. I will list some of both... Good: There were men in the crews for both the loading & unloading stages of our move who worked very hard and were concerned for our belongings. The sales/scheduling process went well & our agent reconfigured/recalculated the cost of the move several times for us. His work was both timely & helpful. Bad: The driver was late on the morning of unloading & the crew (and we) had to wait for him to get on site. At unloading in FL, our belongings & those of another client were seriously mingled in the load. This resulted in some items - both theirs & ours - falling out of the truck onto the driveway. A number of items - storage tubs, an antique spinning wheel, etc. - were broken in the unloading process. We contacted our agent by e-mail informing him of the problems. He committed to us on 10/07/2019 that "Lizzy" would contact us about our losses. I am writing this two weeks later; not a word from "Lizzy" and no follow up from anyone else regarding our concerns. We were contacted by phone to do a rather perfunctory survey about our satisfaction with Beltmann. Because of the damage done during transit or unloading, I gave them a "7 out of 10" assessment. Beltmann/their survey company shared this with the driver who subsequently texted me a defensive "nasty-gram" claiming that nothing had been damaged. I have the pictures & broken items to prove otherwise, but I expect nothing to happen as a result. So... Some aspects of working with Beltmann were fine. Two of the most important - care for our belongings during unloading and follow-up on problems that we experienced - were less-than-positive. Thom B.
