Emergency night staff was great. They made sure to set expectations over the phone. When I arrived they were able to take my cat back immediately. Everyone was professional and friendly.

The staff were so kind and caring to me recently when I had to bring in my terminally ill pet to be put to sleep. Christie was very supportive during the entire process and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and okay. I went to this clinic a handful of times towards the end and everyone was very professional and helpful. Thank you! I would recommend this clinic for your pets.

They shouldn't call that place urgent or emergency care because when you bring your pet in for emergency they make you wait 5 to 6 hours to get your pet checked out. If they need more veterinarian Dr hire some there is a lot of them out there that need a job

I was deeply disheartened by the way my partner was spoken to today. After battling some serious health issues, my girl told us she was ready to go today. We wanted to have an in-home euthanasia but she was too uncomfortable to wait, so we started to call around to get her into the vet. When my partner spoke to como he was told they would not euthanize her becuase of her age (she was 5) and becuase she hadn't been seen there before. That is fine, my issue is the way my partner was treated speaking to this person. He spoke to my partner in a way that passed judgement onto us for making this decision. He spoke very coldly, with no sympathy or empathy, and he spoke judgementally.
My girl passed very peacefully, pain free, fear free, at another local vets office.

Reasonable wait going in for an ER visit, staff was quick to do a rapid triage of my dog, DVM was polite and informed us about all our options as well as what he suspected was going on and his recommended treatment plan, left with meds and instructions on when to follow up if needed. Ended up being about $275 for the exam and 2 meds for about a week and a half, not bad for an ER visit.

I will never recommend this place to anyone with small pets (ESPECIALLY RODENTS AND RABBITS). I haven’t had a visit here that didn’t need a follow up due to something being missed by staff. I just got back from my second emergency visit this week and I’m just at a loss of words for why I’ve been informed that the blood work I asked for THREE times for my senior rabbit before he went under anesthesia, never happened. I was told the technician probably “forgot”. To cut corners when I was happy to pay the outrageous prices they have for blood work to be done is unimpressive. Genuinely never been this disappointed by a vet. The staff are nice and sympathetic about price, but I cannot recommend a vet on staff alone.

They took what is the hardest parts of being a pet owner into an even harder event. I will forever think of Yvonne, the way she made me feel, and her lack of compassion when I think of the day I put my 18 year old cat down. I called the clinic last night to schedule his euthanasia and was told they do those through after hours only, they requested we call back tomorrow an hour before we were ready and come in at that time. I didn't want to go to my primary vet because I didn't want to remember that clinic that way and liked the ease of coming in when we were ready verses waiting for the count down. I set up his profile so I wouldn't have to provide it when I called back the next day and to make things as easy as possible. This dreaded morning came, I called and got Yvonne. She refused to schedule it or allow me to come in, I was taken back. As a CVT myself, I know the ropes and understandably knew they would need an exam because they've never seen my cat but was okay with that. She had zero compassion, empathy and was so rude and cold. I asked to speak to someone else and explained to her I was just doing exactly what I was told to do the night before, I can do an exam that's fine, but taking one look at him, you know it's his time. She told me "there are plenty of other urgent care facilities, I suggested you go there". I hung up and tried to talk to someone else, she refused to transfer me. My husband called as I was an emotional wreck at that point, it was a very hard call to make let alone have someone treat you like that, and he calmly told her the situation that we were only doing what we were told, she told him there wasn't anything they can do and rude to my husband as well. I am at a loss for how someone can treat someone so poorly, especially on a day they are putting their 18 year old cat down. I have been on both sides; a kennel attendant, receptionist, assistant, vet tech and a client. I have never in my almost 20 years being in the field have heard such lack of empathy especially during this difficult time.
I stopped going here with my dog because they couldn't get me in ever as they don't schedule more than a month out and at this point I'm glad I did. If they treat clients like this, how is it behind closed doors? Like Yvonne said, there are plenty of other urgent care facilities, find somewhere else to go.

I was referred to this vet because my kitty, Cuddles wasn't feeling well. She had her kidney removed last year & recently stopped eating & unsteady on her paws. I got to see a vet fairly quick & was told she had to be euthanized, end stage kidney disease. They gave her some fluids to make her a bit more comfortable so I could take her home to say goodbye. We came back around 9pm to euthanize my precious kitty. Life is so short! Heartbroken. The staff was all kind & compassionate. We got a clay paw print & some fur. Her ashes will be available in a week or so.

As a client that's spent 100s of dollars at this animal hosp. I will call every clinic and in the greater twin cities to transfer my care.
All they care about is money.
It's impossible to get an appt.
They offer no cancellation list.
If your child had a fever that needed a standard check up would you accept a week wait to see a doctor? No.
They only offer urgent care that has zero respect for the hours spent waiting.
Even long time customers are expected to put down a 50 dollar deposit.
Even with an appt the wait is long.
It's extremely suspicious they take your dog into the back for all treatment..even shots. More than once I am sure my dog was handled too roughly as she was shrieking painful when she got home.
Nothing about this clinic says care.
It says money.
I am done.

Como Park Animal Hospital is absolutely incredible! Staff is extremely pleasant. The vets are outstanding (especially Dr. Sweeny). He spoke to my cat like it was his own. And was very open and honest in what needed to be done.
Love that they are open 24/7.
Absolutely incredible and thank you so much Staff for taking such good care of my kiddo!
