Love this early childhood learning environment!! It was clearly created with the mindset Montessori for All! So beautiful in esthetics and ethnicities! It was made for children to thrive.

We have been part of the Cornerstone community for five years, with two school aged children who attend Cornerstone Elementary, and one child in their early childhood program. Montessori is the core of the program here, which means that children are seen as individuals who are part of a larger learning community. We were new to Montessori, and were used to the traditional model, both in our experiences as students and as teachers. This is not a traditional school, where students sit in desks, do worksheets, with everyone expected to do the same thing at the same time, and taking tests upon tests upon tests; children here engage in authentic, meaningful work, develop critical thinking skills, learn to work together, and have independence and autonomy. As they say at school, they have rights and responsibilities for themselves, their peers, and their community. Each child is seen as a whole person, and one who is capable of great things. We are thankful to Cornerstone, and feel lucky to have our children there.

Not a school for students of color - the way students of color are treated compared to their white peers is criminal. This school needs to be turned around or shut down. Parents are getting organized now!

I go to this school, and I am finishing here next year. Really wish it went up to high school. Teachers are great, and they solve problems fairly here. Love it here with all my heart!
