Beautiful car, could have been a little cleaner. I had to stop and purchase window cleaner to do a better job on all the inside windows.

Don’t do any business with these clowns.
Was trying to purchase a car (2023 Nissan Rogue SV that was right out of recall) through their Rent2Buy program. I wanted to get as much information from one of the guys (not Rafael, he was polite) at the office and prepared a list of questions to ask before leaving with the car, but not only did he not know anything he was also condescending and declined to sit down with me to discuss everything, saying “we can talk on our way to the car” while almost jogging to it and giving me attitude for daring to want to be informed.
Once I started my rental, immediately indicators of issues with transmission sensors started popping up (“Check shift lever position”). I mentioned that to the purchasing department, which by the way is in Illinois (Why was the car in minnesota for purchase? No idea. Was I informed of this? No.), they said it’s a minor issue and their warranty won’t cover it. Then they gave me an insane APR, told me that I would need to drive 6.5 hours to buy it in person and close the deal or wait for 1-2 weeks to exchange all the paperwork via mail (and by the way they don’t stop charging you for rent throughout the process, so the longer the finalizing of the deal takes the more you owe unless you purchase). The Sales consultant (Hussein Raheema) was also clueless and was putting me on hold to chat with “managers” every 20 seconds of the call. With all of these issues going on, I declined the purchase and said that I’ll return the vehicle ASAP (then they sent an email next day offering lower APR, but still no repairs on whatever is wrong with transmission).
On the day of return, I was driving straight from work and the “minor issue” with transmission turned into a major one with the car not going into Drive. I immediately tried calling the office to see if this qualifies for roadside assistance. No reply. No call back. Thankfully after 10-15 minutes of figuring shift lever out I was able to set it to Drive and return the car.
The car purchasing was urgent, so I ended up buying a car from Lupient Nissan (If you’re interested in Nissan vehicles, highly recommend. Incredible service and team.), the contrast between the two dealerships is insane.
To summarize, Hertz team is incompetent, condescending (other than Rafael), and tried selling me a vehicle with a major issue while lying about it being a “minor” one and declining to fix the vehicle or include the repairs in their warranty, and when I needed their attention the most (being stuck in a parking lot before returning their Rogue), they didn’t help in any way.
Avoid them. It’s an unfortunate miracle that they’re still in business with these scummy business practices, incompetence throughout different states and departments, and attitude from clueless employees that are consistently on some kind of a power trip.

The acquisition of the rental car was simply wonderful, very helpful! I learned to put my foot on the brake before pushing the start button! (smile) Great car .

Why is there a location across the street from a train station that closes before the trains arrive?

I am deeply dissatisfied with the experience. Our reservation was incorrect, and despite the app indicating availability, we were informed that no cars were available. The agent independently secured a car for us, incurring an additional $100 in charges due to this unauthorized action. Upon inspecting the vehicle, we discovered that it was in poor condition, heavily soiled, and extensively scratched. When we raised this issue with the attendant, their response was dismissive, advising us to simply take photographs and leave.

My insurance company set up a rental here while my car was in the shop. I was promised a car that they apparently didn’t have and chose to go with a different rental company who had that kind of car.
I have been called or emailed about this reservation weekly since, for many weeks, and when I tell them that I cancelled the reservation and to stop calling me, they say there is nothing they can do.
My next step will be contacting the Secretary of State. Thanks.

Staying on the other side of the River from this place made this such a convenient rental experience. It was much cheaper than the airport Hertz and they had a decent selection of cars. Our car was clean and great. Definitely gonna be using this location over MSP for now on.

I had the worst experience with Hertz while my truck was in the shop for transmission repairs. When I returned my rental, they refused to refund my $200 deposit, claiming I didn’t refill the gas. I emailed them with clear proof that I did and explained the situation, and they said they would call me back the next day—yet I never got a call. I had to reach out myself because of their complete lack of communication. After finally getting someone on the phone and complaining, they still refused to return my deposit. Their customer service is terrible, and they seem more interested in keeping people’s money than actually helping customers. Avoid them if you can!

Due to an incident whereas my car was made disabled, I found myself without any means of transportation. I had to dig up some of my credit cards that I didn’t want to use, but this was necessary. I thought I would have to travel back and forth to the airport to rent a car, and then return, but I didn’t. It turns out that, this place was less than 1,000 feet from where I live. It’s been three weeks now, that I found myself renting a car, and each time I need a vehicle, there’s always one available. I 6 feet, and weigh 204, so I need elbow and leg room, and the staff always give me an upgrade that suits my needs. If you’re in the city, give them a try. One more thing, don’t expect to see a plethora of vehicles if you do decide to give them a try. Consider this hertz rental like that convenient store in the neighborhood that has what you need, when you need it immediately. They’ve earn my business.

I rented a car from this location and had a fuel pre-pay charge added that I did not request, nor was I asked about adding this charge when I checked out the car. I notified them of this error when I returned the car and saw the receipt. They said they would call me to fix this and never did. Nor have I been able to reach anyone through the customer service phone line - which does not give you options to reach an operator. I will be reporting this to my credit card company and the BBB. Do not use this service.

I had a disappointing experience at this location due to poor customer service. Despite being 30 minutes before closing time, the staff member abruptly turned off the lights and gestured for me to leave without explanation or courtesy. A respectful and clear communication would have been appreciated.

Had a reservation. When I arrived I was told they have no cars despite having a reservation. Wasted energy and resources getting there just to be told no car. Idk why customer service could not have called prior to my arrival, gave me a discount or arranged transportation to a location with a vehicle. But nope, 0 customer service, consideration or effort
