The H&R block was located in not the best neighborhood. There were youths looking in people's cars & others knocking on cars asking for cash. Not the safest feeling as you are walking around with your w2 info & social security #s they could steal from you.
I never had been to h&r blco but it was suggested I go. The biggest things I didn't like was security and privacy. Clients were waiting just 2 feet behind me while my paperwork was scanned in. Some of the documents weren't scanned even though I suggested they should be. As I sat down with my personal account manager she infact need those files. Had they been scanned & dropped off then I would have had to come back later to have them scanned too. Or they would have been passed over.
Privacy was the other issue. The partition are paper thin. Which really doesn't inspire Confidentiality.
The lady I worked with was kind. We worked together for 3 hours. I was assured everything was setup and left. Recently I been worried as I hadn't received any notifications about my return. I did get a coupon for 75 dollars off if I finished submitting my taxes this year. I signed in on the app & said nothing was there. I realized I had no receipts confirming this was completed. I emailed them back stating I had completed all necessary documents and was just waiting for my return. By end of day 4/2 they called me back stating there was a miscommunication. No miscommunication just it never went through on their end. I think I deserve the 75+ dollars to be taken off this year for my troubles. It literally costs them nothing to submitting taxes just the persons time. So this would be a small token of their hospitality to show a new customer great service.

Worst company to do your taxes!!! Called them and they refused to help and just hung up on me instead. DO NOT USE H&R Block!!!

They overcharge for in person! You will not be approved for the advance if they switched banks from the previous year.it’s cheaper to do it online yourself or through TurboTax or another tax service I was a H&R block customer for 8+ years and I have been approved for the advances except the years they switch banks which they do that often

DONT GO HERE! My 2020 taxes got messed up by them. They dont want to help fix them since I noticed the mistake. I WOULD NEVER make the mistake to go here again!
