We've bought and sold with Luther Auctions over the years. From buying a life-sized Dalek to selling vintage landscape photography, we've had a wonderful experience every time. Tracy's a hoot - and a straight shooter. If something won't sell with his audience, he'll let you know in advance. Remember, "time is money" too. My 2 cents: It's best to call and schedule an appointment and have him evaluate the items in person. Email may result in a less optimal experience.

$94.65 for shipping and handling on a roughly 7 lb short rifle is crazy.EDIT: just regular ground shipping as well.

In 2020 I had to settle my late parents estate so I contacted Luther Auctions about auctioning off some of the Antiques, Vintage and Americana that my parents had an array of. They asked me to E-mail pictures if the items to them. I E-mailed the pictures of the items to them then I didn't hear back from them. They didn't respond back to my numerous E-mails or phone messages asking them for followup. They might have closed temperarily due to the pandemic but did not communicate that to me and chose to be non responsive. I chose to sell the majority of the auctionsble items we had from Asia, Europe and the Americas with Sebastian Charles Auctions who responded promptly to my first contact with them. Sebastian Charles Auctions had open communication and they were extremely reliable and professional!!! The whole experience with Sebastian Charles Auctions was seamless, easy and enjoyable! Their expertise was greatly valued!!

Very recently I had the good fortune to have won a rather fragile item at one of Luther Auctions that needed to be shipped. I called the next business day to pay for my item and then asked if I could have a couple of especially fragile parts removed on the item so they could be packed separately before sending the item to the UPS Store for the actual packing and shipping. I was transferred to "Dan" who was absolutely wonderful. Dan was friendly, patient, incredibly helpful and very accommodating to my needs. As a first time buyer at Luther Auctions I am very impressed with their friendly and helpful staff and the quality of their merchandise.

Well I have been browsing their auctions for awhile and after reading the bad reviews, I'm quite frankly turned off!

I've never auctioned anything in my life, and a friend recommended that I try Luther Auctions to sell a piece of jewellery. Tracy was very helpful on the phone. He took the time to discuss the whole process when I dropped the item off, and I felt very comfortable with the whole experience. Very happy with auctioning my item, and I'm sure you will be, too.

Honest professional auction house. Very entertaining and quick moving! I have made some great purchases and some that I should have opted out of but that is the way it works. They do a great job of representing the items and pointing out "as seen" damages. Once in a while you get a crazy bargain like Calloway clubs or a Sage Fly rod for $40 but I seem to always find a person who likes something $25 more than me........... It only took my "box of rocks" purchase for $20 that contained Native American artifacts, that keeps me coming back!!!

I spoke with the owner on the phone who is a gigantic clown. Incredibly short and loves to speak over you. I called in to get shipping information and basically made me feel stupid for wanting to know about the progress of my shipment. I hadn't received any info after sending payment 2 ays earlier. I just called in for an update. Nothing big. This guy needs to stay off the phones cause he has zero people skills. I have no idea how anyone could work under such a grumpy guy.

We look forward to these Monday evening auctions every week! They have a lot of interesting items that come through and are very real about what realistic values are and the marketability of items - fair expectations in a very busy business. There are always a couple of gems in each sale that we bid on and some go for great deals and some hit higher on the price point - it all depends on who shows up and what they're willing to pay. Tracy and his team are always friendly and keep things moving - very entertaining humor!

Premier Minnesota auction house. Professional, courteous and honest as the day is long. Tracy and his staff are also good humored, making it a fun place to shop (and consign).

I don't have any issues with Tracy, or his team. I especially like Kevin and they are primarily nice to me. However, this is not an auction that you are going to get a steal at. Expect to pay top dollar as most items sell for a ton - and then you throw fees and sales tax on top of it. Look at the realized prices of items from prior auctions, and you will see what I mean. It's not their fault. I do wish they had more middle of the road items for sale.
