At this point in life moves are hectic enough and the folks at Metcalf certainly relieved a lot of the stress. Had some very valuable art and furnishings that were handled carefully. Only two lamp parts that are missing.

Sadly, we are less than impressed with Metcalf. We chose a large reputable company because it was necessary to store all our belongings for several months, however we found that our belongings were not well cared for. Our pick up crew was amazing, they carefully loaded and inventoried everything. But that could not have been the case when the items got to the warehouse. We had broken furniture (expensive amish made); we had scratched furniture; we had broken dishes (very well packed); we had a ladder that was lost; and many of the boxes were crushed! Most of those were clearly marked “TOP LOAD” or “PLEASE LOAD ON TOP”. The delivery crew was good, but strongly encouraged us to sign off as everything was acceptable because we would have difficulty trying to keep up with five people and direct the location of the boxes. Also the crew was all new, inexperienced employees with the exception of one. We asked for the original crew to come back, but our request was ignored. In the end, we received $11 for a $90 ladder, and $90 towards the $200+ furniture repair bill. Many items broken we did not bother filing a claim. We would definitely not store our belongings in their warehouse again and rather rent a pod so there was only one loading and unloading process.

Outstanding! Metcalf stored our household goods and delivered them to our new apartment. They were very easy to work with, courteous, treated our things with care, cooperated with our building management and worked efficiently. We changed our moving plans several times, and they handled the changes gracefully, with no extra cost except for reasonable rent for additional storage time. I will definitely hire Metcalf again.

Our son was moving from Minnesota to California after taking a job in California. He was already out in California and we arranged for picking up his stuff from two different locations, Metcalf also arranged to move his car. The whole process was seamless and handled with a few phone calls. The four movers who picked up his stuff (James, Evan, Derek and Brian) were exceptionally efficient and personable. A special recognition to Donnet in Customer Service who was especially helpfulI over the phone. She was very diligent with the planning and kept me posted with every step along the way from pickup to delivery. If I had questions, all I had to do was call her and my questions were answered courteously and professionally ! Thanks Metcalf! You far exceeded my expectations and made the move very simple!

Haven’t even finished with the packing part of this service and i already feel uncomfortable, the two tall boys were fine, the older gentleman with vitiligo however seemed to be in such a bad mood, mouthing something about Ryan who did the inspection and making comments here and there about all of our stuff, saying he doesn't think he got the better part of the job, we have been polite and are trying our best to help where we can, being nice back doesn't take that much effort. We are a young couple moving for the first time, I get that this job can be laborious or difficult but making us feel bad for it doesn’t help.
