Minnesota Transportation Museum

Located in the historic Jackson Street Roundhouse, it preserves and shares vintage railroading. Visitors can explore old train cars in the roundhouse and enjoy train rides, including a caboose ride and special fall colors trips. The museum hosts festive events for holidays like Halloween and Christmas, featuring decorations, treats, and activities for kids. Staff and volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable, playful, and very giving of their time. The museum is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering a wonderful trip for families and groups. While generally fun, the process can sometimes feel a bit unorganized. Overall, it is an awesome little museum and a pleasant activity, with many guests planning to return.
