Great shop with approachable and helpful staff. They answered all my questions, completed the service on my bike at a reasonable cost and before the promised date. I wouldn't hesitate going here for service or a bike.

I was referred here by a guy who did a bike fit for me as an excellent place for service and have been here a few times since. A guy named Sam runs the service shop and he and the team do an excellent job. They really know their stuff about various road, gravel, and mountain bike peculiarities, and are very detailed and thorough at trying to fix problems, rather than just banging you out for a new part or assembly for hundreds of dollars.I ride my road bike a lot every week, so it takes a bit of a beating. I have been thoroughly satisfied with the work they have done and even though live that close, it is worth the hike to get there. One heads up is to call ahead if you need service as they can get a bit backed up.

I've erased my original review.First the positive event: a mechanic there explained how I should correctly instal the cassette on my bike. I bought both of elsewhere, so thanks! Now the negative experiences. After reinstalling my summer tires, I began to continually get flat or exploded inner tubes. Yes, I know how to install tubes, clear sharp objects and the correct pressure that they should be at. Consequently, I suspected that the tires were no longer serviceable. I returned several times to this store to purchase more tubes and also asked to buy replacement tires. Two times I was waved off: they did not want to sell me replacement tires. Once, some guy looked at the tires and said that they "looked good". Then the same mechanic stated that there are "sometimes bad batches of tubes:" Then, an employee stated that (sic) I should just ride at 50 psi, instead of 80 psi. Even though the tires are rated at +80 psi, I humored him. After less than 24 hours at 50 psi, both new tubes had burst. After that, I showed the wheels to EXPRESS BIKES, where one employee agreed with me that the tires should be replaced. I purchased the tires, replacement tubes and of course installed them myself. Duh. After +one week, there have been no further problems with flats or psi.Summary of negative experience:I wasted almost two weeks on simple repairs because "Now" Bikes did not want to sell replacement tires.Either that, or some employees there are not knowledgeable about bikes. This also cost me approximately $50-60 on replacement tubes, also purchased from elsewhere..Were they trying to make me so desperate that I would pay for labor on something as simple as exchanging worn out tires for new ones? Do they simply not stock something as simple as tires? From all appearances, Now Bikes principally sells expensive bikes to people who could not carry out simple repairs if their lives depended on it - and also .have the money to have someone else carry them out.I will stick to what I've just written here.

It's getting harder to find a small bike shop that isn't generally condescending towards someone who isn't a regular or otherwise "in" with them, or doesn't have staff that act like they're God's gift to this world and you're wasting their heaven-sent time. I think NOW is one of the rare finds that isn't like that. The techs were great - no nonsense, friendly, and did exactly what I needed without trying to sell me something else. Kudos to them for doing a headset installation on the spot since they weren't busy at the moment - most other places would have told me to wait at least a few days, while they even beat the time frame they gave me when I emailed them (thanks to Sam for responding so quickly). Definitely going back next time something inevitably breaks on a ride.

Update: I spoke with the shop owner Richard and he was very helpful and willing to make things right. He followed up with me promptly and was happy to help resolve the situation. Overall he was great to work with. Will definitely swing back into the shop the next time I'm in the area.Original:I'm rather disappointed in the bike fit experience I received here. I booked an appointment with a couple goals, to optimize my fit on my current bike and to get an idea of what bike geometry would fit me best for a future upgrade.Based on their website, the 'guru' bike fit seemed like a great, comprehensive option, which claimed to include:Flexibility assessmentLaser measurements of current bike coordinatesUp to 20 position captures including customer’s existing bike for comparison during bike fitVideo motion capture analysis using body point markersSaddle positioningHandle bar reach and stackBody landmark reviewPower output analysisShoe fit evaluationCleat placementFinal fit output and data storageSummary sheet with exact fit coordinates to modify new or existing bikeRecommendations of bikes most appropriate to your fit coordinatesWhat I received was less than half of the items on the list. No flexibility assessment, no 'laser' measurement of my current bike (he did hand measure), no video motion capture, no body landmark review, no power output analysis, no shoe fit evaluation, no cleat placement. He didn't ask what type of riding I do, which I would think is an important piece of information for a bike fit. He also didn't take my actual body measurements. He asked how tall I am, then typed in generic measurements for inseam and handlebar width (I'm 6', 145lbs: 44cm bars are far too wide for me).As another review stated, it was basically a 'is this position better or worse' session with no consideration for the type of riding I do.The 'recommendation of bikes most appropriate to me,' was, "probably an endurance bike, but something more aggressive would probably work too". I was expecting something a little more specific like a range of values for stack/reach that I should try to look for based on my measurements, flexibility, type of riding etc...Perhaps my expectations were too high going into it, but for $250 I expected a comprehensive bike fit, and to not feel like I'm inconveniencing him by being there.Based on other reviews, it sounds like their service is great, I just wouldn't recommend the bike fit.

I've had repairs done there and purchased two bikes from Now Bikes & Fitness. They have the most knowledgeable staff from owners, managers, sales and mechanics. They all know their stuff. They want to get you in the right bike, right size and best fit for your budget. I trust them completely! Thanks for another great experience!!

I chose to try this shop because an earlier review stated how welcome they felt as someone who is obese. I haven't owned a bicycle in about 10 years. I've gained 100lbs since then. I'm trying to be more active and my family wants to have bike rides together, but I'm almost 350lbs. I can't just get any bicycle. I needed something sturdy enough to support my weight. It took me about 10 mins to get out of my car and walk inside, that's how nervous I was. When I walked in, I only waited a minute before a gentleman named Ryan greeted me. He is very knowledgeable and never once did I feel any kind of judgement. He helped me with everything I needed. He showed me the bicycles they had for supporting my weight, they had about 3-5 options. I was pleased to find out they had some in stock, as I was expecting that it may have needed a special/custom order.I test drove the bike and it felt great! I asked for some adjustments of the height of the handlebars and seat. Ryan helped me get all the accessories I wanted. I got a storage bag, a cell phone holder, a helmet, a drink holder, and the handlebar extension. I contemplated a different seat, but Ryan suggested I try it for a couple weeks and see how I adjust to it. I got 10% off everything being a new customer there, and they said I'll get 10% off anything else I need up to 90 days. So I can always go back if I want a different seat. Everything I got cost me less than $1,400! I was really surprised as I expected to pay about $2,000+. Now I just have to wait for them to do a safety inspection and install all my accessories and they will call me to pick it up! I'm so excited! Thank you Ryan for all of your help, I appreciate it more than you know!

A great experience at Now Bikes & Fitness. They helped recommend a great mountain bike within my price range and with more features than I was expecting. Put it together, and spent time with me on the day of purchase to size it correctly, explain the bike, and answer all my questions. I had a great time from start to finish and highly recommend this bike shop for their knowledge and friendliness. Can't wait to ride this summer!

I had a fairly poor experience getting a bike fit here. It wasn’t very educational and the person was fairly quiet and non-engaging in trying to assist in helping me understand how to get a more proper fit. I get that everyone’s fit is unique, but for the cost I would expect the service to try to understand some basics of your riding with some questioning and educational understanding. It was essentially me sitting on a automatic bike fitter saying “better or worse” than the previous position. If you’re looking for more interactive and involved bike fittings that are tethered to your style, I do not recommend spending the money here.

Rich helped me find the perfect bike that was within my price range. I just started biking and wanted to purchase a great starter hybrid bike. Rich went over the pros and cons of each bike and I was able to purchase a fantastic Cannondale bike from Now Bikes & Fitness! Thank you so very much!!

EDIT: I talked with Rich the manager and he was remarkable. He was not defensive at all about his shop and wanted me to know they strive to give people the type of experience they were looking for, and I got the sense that he really wanted to improve. I also ended up talking with him for a while too about cranksets as I was going to be replacing (by myself) the stock cranks with shorter ones, and had spent the last 2 weeks or so learning all about bottom bracket standards, crank standards, etc. Rich was able to walk me through a lot of those things as well and was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and passionate. We discussed why I was doing it and even knew how many other triathletes had gotten shorter cranks from his shop, what lengths they used, and that none had ever returned to longer cranks. In the end, I purchased a set of short rotor cranks from them and I'll be having Now bikes do the install as well. I'm beginning to think that my experience was indeed an anomaly.ORIGINAL:Had all the charm of buying off a website without the low prices.I came in knowing exactly what I wanted to buy as I did all my research and got fit specifically for the bike. They were around 800 hundred dollars more than competitive online retailers but could not lower their price by more than 400. Still, I wanted to support a LBS. But the buying experience was really not all that great. The salesman had about the same excitement as if I was buying a new tube both when I bought it and when I picked it up. I tried to talk shop to them but it felt like pulling teeth and it really was not the experience I thought I would get for an extra $400. Other places I've bought a bike too they usually send me off with a water bottle, didn't even get that from them.Overall, if you don't know what you want, they'd probably be fine helping you out and add value that way. But if you have done the research and know exactly what you want, I'd only go there if they are cheaper than what you could get online.

Ordered a Scott Genius that wasn’t supposed to ship for a couple of months. Lucky for me it came in a month early and I had just found out I had to move out of state for work. They got the bike built right away even though it’s the busiest time of the season for their service department. I got my bike before moving down to Arizona and I’m super happy about my experience with these guys. Thanks to Mike and Blake in sales and the whole service department.
