I was at Petco Highland yesterday and the employee told me I could not pet the black cats in the cage as they had been "yowling" at eachother. She said they were not sick, nor had they been adopted yet. ~But there were giant signs that said "Do not touch" ~I felt very sad for these animals, having human love taken away from them as punishment from the Petco employees. ~That is exactly what they needed was a pet and a hug and she stood there on guard making sure anyone passing did not give those kittens any attention. ~I can't stop thinking about those poor cats.

Wow, epic failure at doing a basic haircut. Our dog had been going to a private groomer for years and after she decided to retire we gave Petco a try. What a mistake. Will not repeat it. Cut was completely uneven, the missed half her belly, and completely skipped her face and paws. Told us she did not like getting trimmed there. Very disappointed, would recommend avoiding.

Everyone was kind. They were gentle and patient with DJ.
They listened to my concerns and communicated what cares/ shots were needed.
It was quick without feeling rushed.
The photo is once he got home!

Today I brought my dog in for his 3rd grooming session at this location. He tends to be on the nervous side but if I am allowed to walk him back to the grooming door he does better with the transition. The groomer that took his leash started walking him back and when he resisted (because he is nervous) she pulled and dragged him by his harness towards the door. So much so that he resisted and pulled out of his harness and ran back towards me. I said that I would walk him back and she said she’d grab a slip lead. I said I CAN WALK HIM BACK and she proceeded to put the slip lead on him and drag him. I was shocked! Never have I seen a groomer of animal drag an animal across the room. I understand that they are on a schedule and that animals anxiety can heighten if their owner stays within eye sight but I am livid that my dog Chili, was dragged and pulled when he clearly was scared. And especially because I offered a less aggressive alternative to get him where he needed to go. I will be noting who the groomer is and asking to not have her work with my dog again. It’s disheartening knowing that that type of process is allowed? Like what about offering a treat and asking the dog to come? Why is the first reaction to drag them?

Always super respectful here but this time I came in at 8:03 and they’re online open time says 8am And the manager lady was incredibly rude and disrespectful when one of her other employees opened the door for me waiting outside in the cold. Told me they don’t open until 9 and to “get out” Left the front door wide open but basically yelled at me when I came in to make a purchase. I am not one to be super angry about something but this entitled lady made me want to and I will be leaving a comment with her corporate hoping to talk to her about her business practices

Helpful staff looked up what I needed and found more in the back! Sometimes, they could use more people at the registers. Fun place to look at critters, get supplies, and even get the pups groomed.

Joe helped us this evening to get cat and dog food. He was incredibly kind and patient with our large order and made sure we were getting the best savings possible. I love this location because the workers truly care and it's actually an enjoyable experience. Thank you Joe!
