Outstanding service! We lost a serp belt at 5pm on the interstate, 300 miles from home, and they were nearby and open. We pulled up and told Mike the situation. His sister pulled the car out of their single stall, and pulled ours in. He had a quick look around and determined the alternator/AC compressor/etc were working, and the serp belt had frayed off. His sister ran to the parts store, got the belt, he installed it, and we were back on the road about an hour after we got off! And we were shocked at how little they charged us for this extremely helpful, prompt, and knowledgeable service, all when we were in a bit of an emergency. He even gave us some tips on maintenance as we were finishing up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We were visiting from South Dakota. Our car had a clunking noise and we were afraid to drive it back to South Dakota the very next day. We called Roy's and the owner was super nice. He told us to bring it over for him to check out, at 7 pm on a Friday night. He looked it over real good and told us about some potential issues but that its safe to drive home. He didn't even charge us. We are incredibly thankful and grateful to him. I highly recommend Roy's Service.

These guys are a life saver!!! We had a trailer axle bearing go bad while we were near their shop.... The threads were shot on axle spindle, and we couldn't find a die set at any auto parts stores with the right size die to fix the threads. Roy was in the shop late, had the die we needed, and helped us out with the axle!! Definitely great service here!!!! Thanks!!!

Mike (Roy's son), is about the most skilled, generous, hard-working, no-nonsense straight-shooter you're gonna find around Saint Paul. It's just him & his sister running the place, so expect to make an appointment for at least a few days later. But when it comes it's worth it.
He saved me so much money & stress I'm basically never going anywhere else if I have the choice. Thanks for everything, Mike!

I have been coming to Roy’s for almost 15 years. My entire family comes here because this shop, while rough around the edges, is thorough and very fair. While you won’t find coffee and snacks in a shiny waiting room, you also won’t find pushy salespeople, dishonest mechanics, and predatory pricing. Plus, they have cute cats.

Fantastic service and very friendly! I drove in with a nail in my tire and they were able to plug it in under under 30 minutes for me. Would have cost me an arm and a leg elsewhere but they were fair and kind. Thank you!

Can't get any better than this place. They are honest, don't charge you for anything unnecessary, affordable, and works with you on what needs to be truly fixed. Customer service with top tier, family owned and it's just a really comfortable mom and pop kind of place.

Super knowledgeable and very fair pricing. Mike took the time to find out what the issue was on my Chevy Trax, and fixed the problem completely; an issue that 2 other mechanics in the area claimed they fixed but never did and they charged me an arm and a leg for the attempts/failures. Will definitely return here in the future! Thanks again guys!
