The folks here were insightful and patient as I browsed for nearly an hour, excited to make my first piece of jewelry. They have so many gorgeous beads, all of which seem to be priced fairly. The fun, sarcastic, and kind personalities of staff are the cherry on top of this bead shop experience.

I was exited to shop here since it's close to my new place. I was hugely shocked when I walked in. Cultural inappropriate facade and had weird odor. Bead selection was ok and organinization of items were overwhelming and unfortunately the staff seemed a bit pushy. Don't feel comfortable enough to return.

Searched online. Was exited to go- drive over 90 min to get there & the woman seemed like she didn’t want us there- barked her rules at us. Overall not the experience I would expect from someone wanting people to spend money on their product. 0/5 if I could. Rude lady. If you’re looking for beads I would NOT recommend this store.

I have been coming to this shop for years! This place has an enormous amount of beads in every color and size. They have the leaves and the flowers and geometric shaped beads. They have the new shaped beads that they are using in projects that I see on Etsy and Pinterest. I have taken pictures in and they have figured out which beads I need to copy the project. Both of the gals there have been very helpful when it comes to how to bead something I've never done before. I just beaded a cabochon, and with their help learned how to scallop the edge on top of the cabochon. I have found them both fun to talk to. The prices are great!! I feel very grateful to have a shop like this still in town. When I was in yesterday, there was a jewelry designer, who sells her beautiful wares on Etsy, in buying beads and chatting it up. I will return to this shop often and I highly recommend.

This place is incredible. Reasonable prices, great selection and even better customer service. Verlane even coached me how to work with a certain type of bead that I wanted to incorporate into a design I was working on. Old school is the best school...visiting a brick and mortar store with helpful worker bees. I couldn't be more pleased and will be back!

I've been coming to Stormcloud for many years. They are always super helpful and knowledgeable. They have reasonable prices and a variety of beads and findings. They also have leather and leather tools.

I love this store and recommend it to many people. The uniqueness and expertise is hard to beat in the entire state of Minnesota. Anytime I am in the cities I try to stop in and leave with a lot of new treasures to add to my crafting materials. The owner and employees are very knowledgeable. The layout is a little hard to figure out but I understand the need to keep things organized and safe. I just ask for what I am looking for and they show me where it is at.

I adore this bead store. I love that I can actually hold and look at what I am choosing without having to wait at a counter to see everything. There is a huge selection of beads, findings, art, Swarovski crystals, Czech and Japanese beads, etc. The staff there is wonderful, friendly, and helpful. I would recommend checking it out!

My family from out of state came into town. My dad and I started looking for some hackles or fluffs to finish up a bustle. I took them to storm cloud, everything that we were looking at the owner was right there over our shoulders being condescending, forcefully intruding in our conversation about not touching things, put things back in place and how all items in here “have a home-a specific place” while my dad and I were talking trying to figure out what colors to pick, we tried our best to ignore or not entertain her behavior and way of approaching us... My dad was looking at some tools, he needs readers mind you, and he grabbed a set to read and see if that was what he was looking for and the owner grabbed them and said “don’t take my displays if you want this I can grab it from the back”. I could not tolerate her treating and talking to my dad and family (and myself) in that way, zero mannerisms so we spoke up. Very unwelcoming, we were literally being followed throughout the entire store. We just left the store and didn’t even bother to buy what we needed. It’s a shame and embarrassing to have my family experience that. Never again.

I'm so happy to find this store. The folks working were very helpful & culturally literate. I learned about the origins of several specialty beads I purchased. There is a great selection of quality beads.

If you’re bipoc don’t go in here. If you aren’t don’t go in here. This was our first (and last) time going here with my white gal friend. We were looking at the sale section. When we were going over clearance prices on their loose beads. The lady working saw that we were figuring out prices. She then chimed in on us raising her voice about bead sizes in the most disrespectful, condescending and rude manner. We immediately put back the beads and said, “let’s leave.” On the way out she accused us of stealing beads from the store. My forehead was hot at this point from being profiled on such a beautiful spring day. I took out the bag that we had from purchasing magazines across the street at the thrift store, turned it upside down on the counter and emptied our pockets. The embarrassment set on her face and we walked out of the store for the first and last time ever.(Description:White, female presenting, short hair, about 5’5 height, heavy set, and about early 40’s…. Aka a Karen)

Whoever the bald person is doesn’t know covid is an airborne virus and thinks they have to lecture everyone that comes in the store about everything - while not wearing a mask. I suggest you drop the cultural appropriation act and sell your business because you only take from native people if you can’t respect them. Looking at older reviews and having heard from peers it will not change anytime soon. Have fun with monkey pox next
