Everything in these apartments is the cheapest quality you can find. The windows have really poor insulation - during the winter there was half an inch of ice along the cracks of some of the windows and we literally had to use a hammer and hairdryer to get it off. When the temperature is colder outside the windows would fog up and we could barely see outside. The well of the window also slopes into the apartment, so when it rains the water pools at the bottom of the window and black mold grows. There’s a thick layer of paint at the bottom of each window and it’s clear that management has been painting over the mold each time a new tenant moves in, rather than fixing the problem or notifying people about this health hazard.I could go on about the issues with these apartments, but overall it’s clear that the owners aren’t paying the money or time to provide tenants with a good living condition. The only positives about living here were that the maintenance people were very friendly and prompt, pets are allowed, and the location is nice.

I love this neighborhood. Close to everything, including restaurants and shopping. The building is clean and quiet. I would recommend the Lex!

The apartment has a bad boxelder bug infestation that has not been resolved for well over 6 months. Maintenance and renovations are poorly communicated and jobs are often left unfinished. I personally went over a month without a functioning sink due to an unannounced kitchen renovation during the holiday season and there are tenants that have had disruptions to their electrical system for over a month as well. There are old fridges and appliances haphazardly discarded in the back. I think that for the price point there is still possibly value in renting at this location, even after the recent rent hikes, but you need a high tolerance for imperfections and a high degree of patience.

My roommate and I have been living here since last September and property management has changed about 4 or 5 times which was red flag #1. The laundry in our building is rarely working and when we reach out about it it doesn’t get fixed for weeks later. Not okay. Buildings are not well kept at all. No security cameras at all, my car has been broken into countless times in the parking lot of this complex. If you are going to collect our rent money, at least provide working laundry and basic working amenities. We will be moving out and never coming back
