They do not have handicap parking. So if you have any relatives or friends that are handicapped their vehicles will be towed. The state issued handicap placard was clearly displayed.

Daveed was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable about the apartment and did an excellent job showcasing its features. Even though there wasn’t an available unit for my timeframe, his professionalism and enthusiasm made a great impression. Highly recommend him!

This is a wonderful place to live. Very modern and fairly secure… considering that it is in downtown Saint Paul. They have always been very responsive to any work orders that I have called in and the common areas are basically spotless.

I've lived in several places in the US and the penfield is the greatest! I've lived in 2 different apartments here over the last few years and I have enjoyed it.

Penfield
My experience at the Penfield has been dreadful. The leasing manager, Jacob, is one of the rudest and most difficult people i have ever dealt with. Within the 9 months i have lived here we have had a horrible bug infestation (crunching literally thousands of millipedes that cover the floor walls and entry ways, along with making there way into every area of my apartment), which management seems to be uninterested in resolving, a broken garage door for months during the winter which allowed transient individuals into the building. My car was broken into numerous times by said individuals, and coming home at night was often a scary experience. The elevator is constantly down, and there is often trash strewn throughout the building. Despite having these issues to consider, the management seems more concerned with leaving passive aggressive notes and emails with residents (the favorite being not throwing away cardboard boxes in the recycling bins provided?) I would not recommend this apartment to my worst enemy. The only reason there are positive reviews are because they constantly pester people to leave them while offering prizes for doing so. The amenities are standard at best and for the price you are certainly not getting “luxury living” as advertised. My suggestion, run as fast as you can away from this building.

Thank you to The Penfield for being our home for four unforgettable years. There truly is no better place. The amenities are exceptional, offering everything you could need. The cleanliness is impeccable, and everything you need is within walking distance, making life incredibly convenient. The building has adapted remarkably well to the changing environment since 2020, ensuring a safe and comfortable living experience. A special thank you to the management company, Village Green. They have done a fantastic job, consistently going above and beyond. They made The Penfield feel like home from day one. If The Penfield were closer to UofM, we would have loved to stay even longer. However, we did the next best thing: we moved to another property managed by Village Green. You cannot find a safer, better-maintained property, and we are thrilled to continue our journey with Village Green. Village Green truly sets the standard for exceptional living. A 10-plus-year-old building with the best reviews in town!

Amazing move in process. Davvid really came in clutch as I needed to have everything taken care and needed to be moved in within a short time frame. They also had internet options for me to use as I waited on mine to be set up. All in all I am excited to say I live here. I would definitely recommend. The Penfield for anybody looking to live in the St Paul area.

I've lived here just over a year and have had a really good experience! My room is great value for the money and it looks great. The common areas are kept neat and tidy and are always welcoming. The workout room is decently stocked and I find myself using more days than not. LeeAnn, the building's concierge, goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and at home. Overall it's been a very positive living experience!
