IT DOESNT MATTER WHICH ST PAUL BOXES YOU PUT YOUR MAIL IN. ALL OUTGOING MAIL GOES TO THE PLANT IN EAGAN TO BE SORTED. ALSO, CARRIERS HAVE TO PICK UP THE BOXES DAILY. THEY WONT GO HOME UNTILL THEY DO. Maybe get an idea on the process before making accusations.

This post office is only open during work hours posted. They do not have a real package dropbox. Once the doors are closed, there is no access to drop off a box. You will need to go to the Oakdale post office for a formal drop box for packages during off hours. This is a small office therefore, there is usually only one or two people working the desk so you may wait a while in line when it is busy. There are no stamp machines here as everything is done at the window with the workers. This post office can use an update or be moved to a newer bigger location that has more amenities, such that of the Oakdale office. Parking is sufficient. As for delivery service, it is slower than most. It took 3 days for my package to reach the Minneapolis Distribution center from NSP office. Once there, it took a few days for them to sort it and get it onto a truck to the destination, which has become the norm lately (I use USPS everyday for the past 20 years). No frills office, small and only open during work hours. Definately use an update and better facility.

The staff are friendly, helpful, and will have a laugh with you.
They are always kind and happy to see my baby.
I enjoy going to this post office.
I have had service I believe with all the front desk staff. They answer all of my annoying questions.

This location desperately needs a better system and more support staff. I waited nearly 30 minutes in line while only one worker was on duty, struggling with a system that kept crashing and restarting. There were at least 10+ people in line, almost to the door, and the same customer was stuck at the counter for 15+ minutes. The employee seemed overwhelmed and completely unsupported — and honestly, it’s not even their fault.
This isn’t a complaint about the worker — it’s about the lack of infrastructure. This branch is clearly under-equipped for the traffic it gets. People were sighing, pacing, and visibly frustrated. You could feel the tension building. I shouldn’t be able to memorize the cough and burp pattern of the guy behind me in line — I was there too long.
This place needs:
-At least one more employee on shift
-A reliable checkout system that doesn’t constantly freeze
-Faster turnaround protocols for long lines
It’s 2025 — fix the tech, staff the counter, and stop acting like we’re still mailing by candlelight. Customers shouldn’t dread walking into a federal building like it’s the DMV on crack.

Horrible customer service, disrespectful and antagonizing employees. Packaging supplies are always out of stock or missing. Save yourself the trouble and go to FedEx or UPS to handle your postal/shipping needs.

Worst customer service I’ve had in many years. Could not get a word in edgewise with the “gentleman” cashier. He cuts you off mid sentence and rushes you through a purchase you don’t want. I literally only said “Hi, I just need stamps today, some Christmas or holiday stamps, how about the ornament-“ and boom couldn’t speak further. I was yelled at and told to go look at display case that wasn’t even necessary because I literally tried to say “ornament stamps”. Stay away from the guy.

Terrible customer service, just so rude I got helped by the male with longer darker hair I’m glad to see I wasn’t tripping and he obviously has a history of bad customer service. It’s unfortunate but he’s only doing more damage to himself. It takes a lot of bad energy and feelings to be able to show up to work like that everyday and dang near infect all of your customers.

White male with long white hair refused service. I came in to drop off 3 packages and I asked if I can get separate receipts. He said to me “Yeah I’m not doing that today” in the rudest way. I took my stuff and left. I never experience anything wrong with this location and I have never left this disappointed, that guy needs to learn how to do his job.

The guy clerk that wears glasses was extremely rude to the gal ahead of me. His body language, sighing, rolling eyes, impatience, his distracting reaching hand while she was trying to focus counting money was completely outrageous. He would grab the money set it aside way to his right out of sight of her. She politely said sir please put the money back. she explained this is the way she's counting when she's done she'll hand him the money to count. He turns to the side picks up the money threw his hand up slapping the money down on the counter while yelling I'm not going to let you scam me. Terrible customer service!!! A week later it's still on my mind.

If I could give a zero I would and the Zero rating is an understatement. I went in to the post office to change my address and the Asian guy was nice but didn’t give the right directions he never told me that if I got a confirmation mail in the mail I would need to go back into the post office to get it scanned again and since that wasn’t disclosed to me I was over the 20 day grace period. So when I went in for the 2nd time, I had to fill out the paper work and so two weeks later I had come in to get the paperwork scanned and I was working with the Asian guy again and somehow my hyphenated last name was misspelled by one letter and he then tells me there’s no way to change it. Then he tries and scans my license which then shows an error because the old temporary address I wrote on the change of address sheet didn’t match the address on my current license. Then he tells me that there’s no way for it to work because the old address I put on the paper doesn’t match my license. (Which had I known this in the first visit there, I would’ve not have wasted my time going back again without making the changes I needed to). So I was told I had to fill out the change of address again and the third time I went to the counter the guy I ended up working with is the white guy with the long hair. He was super rude and didn’t care to listen to what I was saying and tried to convince me to just stick with the change of address request with my hyphenated name misspelled and when I didn’t want that, he rolled his eyes and grabbed the new change of address card and just put it aside and told me that he would just have to input it again later. And when I asked how long it was going to take he rolled his eyes again and said “two weeks”. I’ve never experienced such bad customer service with the lack of information given to customers. By far the worst USPS I’ve ever been to.

I left a complaint online about 3 issues:1) I see I am to get expected mail with cash in it through Informed Delivery (ID) but it has been nearly 2 months now and hasn't come even though I checked the box in ID that it didn't come; 2) Outgoing mail does NOT get picked up from my mailbox more often than it does; and 3) I am frequently delivering mail that came to me but isn't my address.I received an auto-generated email response before I could even close the window on my computer with zero resolution or next steps.Basic functions of the USPS, I'd say. Disappointing doesn't even cover it.
