DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! They continue to charge your credit card MONTHS after you move your stuff out of the unitDESPITE you letting them know the unit is no longer in use! Had to change our card number to stop this!! FIND ANOTHERMORE TRUSTWORTHY PLACE!!

Looks like a good storage facility, however, my first experience could have been a zero. We had a code for the gate, and no matter what we did, it didn't open. And on a weekend, there was no emergency number to contact.

I worked for this company a few years ago and it's not easy day after day to relocate items for customers who are stressed enough from having to move. We do our best to move anything within reasonable means for the quality of it but also with respect to our own physical health. If we get hurt on a move, it cost everyone time and money to be able to accommodate the customer needs of having there house become their home. That's what brought me back everyday to enjoy a job such as being a Relocation Specialist. Having the day end with a handshake and smiles is always the goal but knowing s*** happens and it isn't always preventable helps also....

Their estimate called for 6 wardrobe boxes, when crew showed up they had none, they called and another person showed up with only 4. Dining room china cabinet had glass in the doors broken, they never mentioned that it was done but I heard them talking about it in the truck before they carried in. Top of dining room table scratched, they weren't going to put beds together, they were never given estimate orders when they came out to load nor when they arrived to unload. crew that loaded were not the same people who unloaded so unloading crew couldn't find parts that were removed nor how they went together. On the bright side they are fast, prompt, and affordable. We really weren't that impressed, but they did get the job done.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. This moving company broke and ruined many of my items during my move and told me I'd be reimbursed for the damages from their insurance. It's been weeks and I have yet to hear from them after many calls and voicemails left. Very unprofessional, not to mention the movers were also sweating all over my furniture and didn't bother wiping it off at all, just left them soiled. I understand it was hot, but the least they could do it wipe the items off. Truly shocking how some “businesses†are managed.

Kermit and his crew were the most accommodating movers I have ever encountered. They went above and beyond the Call of Duty to get our household goods relocated very quickly and efficiently. They had to disassemble a custom steel canopy bed and whole it over a deck to get it out of our house. They did such a great job with several of our moves. I highly recommend these guys. They are thorough, prompt, professional, efficient and really nice.

Granite City helped us move into our new home and were absolutely spectacular! They were great people to work with. Speedy and professional. With their assistance our move was not nearly as stressful as moving usually is.

My law firm has stored closed files off-site at Granite City for years. They will come to our office to collect boxes to bring to storage or pull boxes from storage and deliver them to our office promptly. I have also rented storage lockers at the facility. It has a secure gate requiring a pass code for entry. The area is fairly well lit for security purposes. The lockers have also always been clean and secure from the elements. I haven't done an exhaustive study, but in my experience, Granite City's rates are competitive with other storage facilities in the area.

My wife and I (and our two girls) recently moved from the northern-most part of Sartell to the southern-most part of Sartell. We were planning to just rent a Penske truck from Granite City Moving and Storage and do the move ourselves since it was basically across town. A couple weeks before our move, I swung in to discuss the size of truck we might need, when we would need it, get boxes, etc. The staff (Kermit) was very friendly and knowledgeable, and shared a lot of helpful tips when loading and unloading furniture, etc. The more tips he shared, the more I realized moving from one house to another, even across town, might be a little more than my wife and I wanted to take on. We discussed rates which seemed surprisingly fair, and long story short, we decided to have them do the move for us, and WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! The day of the move, they showed up on time, were very careful with the maneuvering of their truck into our driveway near the garage, and were careful with ramp placement, etc. The thing that impressed me the very most, which at times I even felt bad for, the movers showed such care with EVERY piece that was being loaded and stacked! Packing blankets were use to protect pieces that honestly had little monetary value whatsoever. It's like they treated every piece as if it were a valuable antique. VERY HAPPY with our experience with Kermit, and the rest of the team at Granite City Moving & Storage, and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They paid special attention to the late start due to my work schedule. The crew that did our move were friendly, fast and especially careful with our more fragile pieces!
