Hy-Vee is an impressive store based on the quality and varieties of their products and the reasonable prices. Displays are great. Their bakery is superb! They offer tasty prepared foods to go. Great meats and seafoods. An abundance of cheese and dairy. AND they have multiple rest and well kept rooms, a whole hall of them, and everyone is welcome. You also get discounts on gas by shopping there. It’s fun and interesting to shop there!

Clean store, great deli, produce and bakery but took all self checkout out of store. Not enough cashiers to make check out effecient.

Great location. Better option of grocery store. From premade meals to specialty health food. A much better option than Cub or Walmart.

Best hidden secret are the bagels they prepare for you in the bakery area with assortment of cream cheeses.

Always a good time shopping at hyvee. Only reason for giving 5 stars is because there were numerous people in line to checkout and on 2 registers open. Plenty of self checkout but they always seem to be having some kind of technology hiccup reading hyvee cards or groceries.

Purchased a family chicken dinner combo for 4 last Friday around 4 PM so prior to the busy dinner time. Selected 4 pieces of baked and 4 pieces of fried chicken as we had never tried their chicken. The fried chicken consisted of small pieces thickly (excessively) coated with a tasteless batter fried to a crisp that shattered when biting into it. Chicken was dry and tasteless. The baked pieces were slightly overdone but had a little more flavor. The attendant asked if I wanted chicken or beef gravy. I selected chicken and he then told me there wasn't enough! I repeated that I wanted chicken and he said he had some that was cold. I settled for that. I selected mac and cheese for the other side dish. It had minimal cheese and very little flavor. This package includes 4 biscuits. They were dry and crumbled easily. The mashed potatoes were the highlight of the dinner (after we heated the cold gravy). Buyers beware, this chicken dinner is terrible and we won't be fooled a second time.
