Tyler provided excellent service and was able to put up a new film as a renter had made cut marks in the old film as they were trying to remove their signage on our commercial door. Solar Shield came out yesterday late afternoon and was able to install a new film at 10am today. We have used Solar Shield in both our commercial space and residential. The reason we originally used Solar Shield in our residence was to protect our leather furniture from the sun beating through the windows. I highly recommend them.

They are an awesome company. People of their word. We had the tint put on our south facing window when we built over 20 years ago. They were out recently and replaced 6 windows at no cost to us. Very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this company.

I've been dealing with the owner Mark since 1995. This is the only place that I go to for all of my automotive window tinting needs. Even after 29 years he continues to do great work. I would highly recommend Solar Shield for anyone that wants quality work done.

Ryan and Mark are amazing people to work with. They do superior work. I have had five cars tinted here 2 cars below) I love the fact that they require a prescription to have your windows tinted darker. It actually saves you money in the long run because if you get pulled over, it’s gonna cost you an arm and a leg in tickets. I am very happy that we did this legally because my husband was pulled over about a month ago. Windows were dark, he was pulled over in AV at 1030 at night and an he had my prescription and the police officer gave him no problems. Do yourself a favor. Do your research. Mark and Ryan are some of the best tint people around the metro. Thanks guys!!

I have a 1981 DeLorean DMC-12. A rare exotic that is not seen every day. Because of the rarity and the special needs of this vehicle (two of the windows are technically "outside" the car, above the mid-engine compartment), I knew I needed to take it to someone who would listen to me and take good care of the car.
Solar Shield was patient with me and took the time to appreciate my concerns. They helped me pick out the correct tint and took their time to make sure everything was perfect. No detail or concern was overlooked - I felt like they treated me like family!
The car remains in concourse condition. I recently took it to DeLorean Midwest in Crystal Lake, Illinois, for routine maintenance. The technicians (who see a lot of DeLoreans AND tint jobs) took the time to specifically comment on how well the tinting had been done on my DeLorean. All I can say is that I have Gjerde's Solar Shield to thank for their fantastic service and the high-quality materials they use!

Over the decades I've had windows tinted in 4 vehicles at Solar Shield and about to bring in a 5th vehicle next week. I've Never had an issue with with the tint or service. Great Work.

I had Solar Shield out to my house in 2020 and again in 2024. Both times the guys that arrived were friendly, knowledgeable, timely and professional. The installers were just the same and very easy to talk to. The prices were fair and the work they do is great! I am so happy with the look and outcome of the tinted windows all throughout my home. It added not only privacy to my home, but the tint protects my flooring and furniture and reduces the heat in the summer. Thank you!

Did a lot of research before getting my vehicle tinted and these guys are definitely a cut above the rest. Was debating between going here or going to tint world and I’m thankful I chose to go here. Customer service was great and was informed about the reasons as to why Solar shields products are superior to all other brands. You definitely get what you pay for…. Ryan was the representative that helped me out and had all the data as to why solar shield is superior to other companies.Thank you solar shield! I can see better in my vehicle with less glare and my child sleeps better in the darkness! Two wins!
