“Shakopee has the best Dollar Tree in the suburbs metro area
The employees are kind, helpful & attentive
The store is well stocked and clean
I don't live near this store at all
There are 3 different stores under 5 miles that I frequent
EP is dirty, the bathroom is disgusting and the employees are slow to check out customers
No matter how busy it is, they rarely - if ever utilize a second cashier
Chaska is inconsistent and unpredictable
Often closes several hours early
The sign they put up is not easily ready unless you get out and walk to the door
Extremely disappointing
Shorewood is smaller and clean but the guy that works there during the day is extremely rude - he accused an elderly lady of stealing and tried to have her empty her purse!
I was there, I shopped at the same time as her - she did not steal a $1.25 item
She was shaken up and it was embarrassing
I told the guy that he is not a police officer and that he is out of line
If I absolutely have to go to that location I try to go when he isn't there
He is abrasive and rude to customers and I've seen him berate a female employee
Four different stores with varying degrees of how they treat people
By far, Shakopee is the best option”
“Love this store , it is very organized, clean , and really like the staff when I have gone it , Kari is super kind and friendly when been in to the Customers …”
“love the laid back feeling there but the excellent service if you need it. Well I mean I'm going to add to this this is my addition to my review a while ago I still love it still means the whole thing to me that I said that the customer service is great. I do know they're a lot busier now and I don't know if they have a lot of the employees look new to me all the time but so I'm thinking that the turnover is pretty good but other than that I mean they do have a wonderful Christmas theme in their store and they're actually working on it right now I just think they're great there they're right on it they are you know heads down to the ground and they just do their work I love that. I really have nothing bad at this point to say about it except that the lines are too long”
“I'm glad I waited to write my review on this location until now. Had I done it more around the time I first started visiting [last Summer], my review would have been much different. I actually stopped coming to this location for several months and this is only my second trip since I've returned to shopping here. The Management/Associates seemed to have changed/improved...by leaps and bounds, in the last several months. The store is coming together in terms of tidiness and organization. It was a hot mess before. The employees are much less offensive than the previous group and common items I'm looking for are back to being in stock. Dollar General will always suck me in for those incredible one buck deals. The great thing about Shakopee is: it has TWO locations and they are nearish each other. I purposely plan 'Dollar General Days' just to come shop around the town. It's good this store is improving so I can enjoy shopping here again. There is a chemical health treatment facility that shares the same parking lot as the strip mall this store is in. It's not a big deal but, can be...interesting...when several of them come in at once, as happened to me today. Ha. The shopping area has lots of free parking and is located on the very outskirts of town. I expect to be back in a few weeks. ;)”
“This is one of the better stocked locations in the area. I love going and getting pork rinds. One downside is that not everything is a $1.25 anymore. Make sure you check the labels before buying.”
“I went there to get balloons for a birthday party, it was last minute. There was one employee in the store. She was very helpful and understood the urgency to help. She helped with the balloons quickly and I was on my way. Great sense of urgency and friendly. Thank you!”
“I came in today to buy balloons for a birthday in my family. One of the workers warned me that the number balloons were prone to bursting, and to come back if they did. The numbers popped multiple times during the fifteen-yard walk to my car; I had to return a total of three times. The two employees present could have been rude about the (admittedly very frustrating) situation, but they were so sweet and patient and replaced them at no cost to me. Absolutely HUGE shoutout to them.”
