Came in to check out the store… I was given weird looks by one employee and he kept staring at me & my bf while we were trying on shoes as if we were suspicious. Felt uncomfortable so we checked out and left. One of our friends did say their customer service is really bad and to never go there after we left.

As a (now) retired Army Officer, I've been dealing with SPG since it's inception. Been part of their Buyer's Club for just about as long. Have ordered more stuff than I could possibly remember. I've had SPG things longer than I've been married (38 years). Has SPG screwed up a few times? Yep. Have they ALWAYS fixed these problems? Yep. Do they get things right 99% of the time? Darn right. Go ahead, buy the item you want on EBay, save a few dollars, and try to get customer service when things go wrong. Sportsmansguide is as loyal to you as they are family. Don't piss in your panties, if one thing goes wrong. Wait until you've dealt with SPG for a few decades before you judge.

Ordered a couple of Flambeau - Masters Series Coyote Decoys from Sportsman’s Guide. Order came sooner then quoted on-line (3 days vs. 7). The decoys were pretty easy to assemble, though I slightly struggled with tail. We have been struggling with deers going after our flowers/plants. We’re are hopeful that this helps save our begonias and other flowers.

They automatically add a $3.99 membership fee to your order and you have to be very diligent about removing it. Otherwise you’ll be automatically renewed. This is an incredibly dishonest business practice l

On March 17th, 2023, I placed an order for non-returnable items as a gift. Very shortly after placing the order (~20 minutes +/- 5 mins), the recipient changed their mind on a detail, requiring me to cancel this order and reorder the same items in a larger size. I tried canceling on the website and it wouldn't process. I called Customer Service, per the website's instructions, and CS told me that once orders were placed, they couldn't be canceled. I ask, SINCE WHEN?? The order was still pending, it was after 8pm on a Thursday night, and even CS acknowledged that no one was working. So, why didn't they stop the order from processing? We argued for the next 18 hours, 5 different CS Reps. Not a single person would take an overt action to help. They went so far as to offer to sell me a reduced-price return label so I could return the package upon receipt - to SELL me this label. When I reminded them that the items were declared non-returnable, I got a "blue screen of death" from CS - they couldn't comprehend the implications of a return label for non-returnable items.... Ultimately, they shipped the package and i have over $200 worth of useless items coming to me, items which are non-returnable. FYI, I have all emails back and forth with CS, plus chat transcripts - this is a true story. And their policies, as listed on the website, say you can cancel an order prior to shipment, that satisfaction is guaranteed without exception and that they pride themselves in their Customer Service. I say lies, false advertising and LAZY. I make my living managing crew and clients, solving problems. I can say without a doubt that this situation was avoidable, with an easy fix - IF ANY ONE OF THE CS REPS HAD SIMPLY TRIED TO HELP ME. After years of declining service, this is the last straw. Please do not support business with such a business model - shop elsewhere and make America Great Again, please.

I place an order for some ammunition. It was filled, boxed and shipped in about 3 days. I was sent the tracking number. 2 days latter is was in a city 35 miles from my address. 7 days latter it was still listed as being in the same city. I called Sportsman’s Guide. They suggested that I wait another few days. I called to check back and I repeatedly left a message and pushed the button to have a call back. They didn’t call back for 4 days after numerous attempts. I finally got a human on the phone and was told that my order could not be filled. I suggested that they send me another brand. They rudely told me that I could wait until more ammunition arrived or get a refund. This is not the first time that I’ve had trouble with them but it’s the last time. Horrible communication and horrible service.

WHY would they be charging a fuel surcharge when fed ex picks up and delivers the items.Then a shipping tax!! What in the world.Called customer service for some lady to tell me fuel prices are high. AND?? Your not using any fuel.Your products are delivered to you and picked up and shipped.

I have been a long time customer and loyal. Recently had my sons sign up. They made one order each. Then the 4 pay with SEZZLE was used. SO here is what I found out. If you live in the same house as other adults and they want to have their own account, THEY CANNOT. Sportsmansguide added my adult sons to my account. Even though they gave their own phone numbers and debit cards. NOW Sezzle is charging my son for an order no one in my house placed. And they are a joke. I just finished their review: I have been a long-time member of Sportsmans Guide. Recently I had my two sons sign up. Both ordered 1 gun each using the 4-pay plan through Sezzle. Both were charged for their first payment. THEN - one of my sons was charged $813 for an item none of ever ordered. I have the company on Jan 20th and was told the issue had to be escalated to the finance department. I told them my son is negative $700 in overdraft and we needed it resolve very fast. I was not called back. I called back Jan 24th and was hung up on by someone who can't speak English very well or understand it. He hung up on me. I called back just to be told, by the customer care agent, my issue would be turned over to the finance department. Then you all send me a survey and my son is still out $813. SO, my sons and I canceled the cards you all have on file. Keep in mind my sons have 3 unpaid payments that still need to be drafter, but you will not be able to. Then my son had to take off work to go have the bank dispute the charge, which is what is going on now. Also, I canceled my Sportsmansguide account and instructed my sons to do the same.

My order was put on backorder for almost 2 years and then randomly canceled, reasoning discontinued... Same product available for sale on website... and other websites... Avoid this scamming company. Judging by other reviews, they Ponzi scheme scammed a lot of people...

Sportsman's Guide's Lifetime warranty on their Guide Gear hunting boots is a joke! They won't honor it trust me I just found out the hard way with a pair of leak and were hardly ever used.This company is a rip-off!!Thanks again for all your help Rachel from Customer Service!!

Reviews seem to be shaky throughout covid times. I have recently ordered a variety of ammo that was all in stock. It came very quickly and was as described. I also ordered an optic recently and it shipped out next day. Prices are very good and I have had nothing but good service from sportsman guide.
