This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. Do not stay here! To begin with I said I was bringing a pet when I made the reservation, I also called the week before and asked about the pet policy which the lady at the front desk said she remembered me calling bc of my accent. I check in and go to sleep as I had just drove 1100 miles straight. When I woke up later and took my dog out I put her back in the room and ran back out to get clothes. When I came around the corner I heard the lady from the front desk say something to the guy cleaning rooms about a dog so I asked him on the way by if something was wrong he said yes the pet rooms are downstairs so I go ask the lady what is wrong and she said it wasn’t on my reservation that I was bringing a pet. She gets it fixed and puts my in a pet room and says all is good. Monday morning a few hours after I leave I started getting random charges from the hotel starting at $100,115,242,242,242. Luckily my bank blocked them all. I call the hotel to try to figure what they are trying to charge me for the manager/owner Lilly says I didn’t say I was bringing a pet which I did and thought that all got fixed when they switched me to a pet room. She then says the original charge of 286 got declined which was a lie. I told her if it got declined I’d turn my card back on so she could charge it. I turn my card back on and she then charges me 317. So I got charged 286+317=$603 for a 2 night stay. I reached out to best western corporate and they said they would investigate it, but if there was a refund of any kind I’d have to get it from the hotel. I will definitely not be giving them my new card number seeing what they’ve already done. Lilly also mentioned several times how she turned my info over to the sheriff for non payment. Yeah right I’m turning your info over for scamming me. Lilly you are more than welcome to send me a check for the $317 you have my address.Oh Lilly when are you going to stop lying? I have never received a txt or email from your hotel. I called and made the reservation so nothing was online. I told the lady that took my reservation I was bringing my dog and obviously she didn’t listen or we probably wouldn’t be in this situation. I also said I wanted 2 nights, and asked when the earliest I could check in was and she said to go ahead and come early that the room was open. I like anyone else wasn’t going to pay for a whole extra night for getting there 4 hours before check in time so would have been happy to wait until check in time. I was in the non pet room for 4 hours so how much did my dog really shed? The room looked like I hadn’t even been in it when I left it. I was most definitely not asked if I had a pet at check in. You really think I’m going to attempt to sneak a 70lb dog around for 2 days? I find it funny how you kept saying how you were going to listen to the phone call and “investigate” everything when all you did was scam me out of more money. It’s pretty easy to see who is being dishonest here Lilly.

I had to call five times to get a room reserved for 16 September. When I got my confirmation it was all wrong. I called the manager and she explained to me that I would have to book 2 night stay and not the one night stay that we had talked about and I had given her my credit card for, the manager did not seem to know her job. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody out of state I feel it was unacceptable the way that I was treated.

The front desk staff were great, both friendly and accomodating. The pool was closed but we still had a great time and the location was great!

Stayed here over the 4th of July. Rooms were really comfortable and the place was very clean. Management was very friendly and everyone seemed really happy to be there.

Best Hotel stay ever!!!Staff just knocked it out of the park .We spent the weekend with friends in Spicer MN. (3 rooms @ SureStay by Best Western)Breakfast had everything you needed.Parking for our boat was amazing. ? ?They have a few renovation projects going, but you never knew. Zero interruption !!!Not a single noiseWe loved the staff!!!Lily and Rosie, thank you again. See ya in August ?Nearby activities: Walking distance to everything in town!!!

We can tell they have put a lot of work into keeping this place up to date. Clean. Bed we got was a little soft. Layout of the suite is a little unique but works.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at and we have stayed in a lot! The rooms were clean and tidy. I’ve seen reviews about the beds but I thought the beds are comfortable (granted everyone has a different opinions on bed firm ness) the pool was so warm was like bath water hot tub was great. The price for the room was not outrageous. We had friendly staff the location was good not hard to find. Had two bars around us and was still quite. We loved staying here and will definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly, lots of smiles. Very clean and comfortable. The bakery muffins every morning were delicious. (Wish I would have noted the bakery.) Amazing last minute find. Also, the beach and Restaurant across the street are an amazing bonus.

For being off season the rates are high. Beds are very hard and the pillows are very thin. They have a zero tolerance for any food or drink in the pool an hot tub area. Told us we could check in early for our wedding and the room had not been cleaned yet when we arrived. Don't plan on a group standing out talking late at night because they will come out an stop you.

Great place to stay. We had the suite which had a whirlpool inside which was awesome. They had a pool and hot tub as well which me and my wife enjoyed too. The hotel was simple and clean. The owner was helpful if needed.

The new owner is a terrific guy. The staff is very friendly. The new beds are very comfortable. Alot of improvements being made to make the stay just that much more enjoyable. Great location near downtown Spicer.Definitely my choice when visting Spicer.

The hotel was great, rooms were wonderful, thick towels, comfortable beds, great location. Watch out for the dog catcher aka Hospitality manager NOT, who waits by the back door to discuss the pet policy. I booked my room using the pet room link on the website and had a pet room acknowledgment on my printed receipt. Since I used the pet room site I assumed the fee and knowledge of my pet was already known. At the time of check in nothing was ever asked about the pet. I assume the fee was already in the price of the booking since it was booked through the pet specifically marked web page. I was made to feel like we were sneaking the dog into the building from the comments made by the manager at the back door. It never my intention not to pay the fee , since I was never asked at check in assuming it was included. Need to have a better system in place.

Great location, clean and spacious rooms, and helpful staff. This will be my preferred hotel when I visit Spicer again.There is a beach and park right across the street - great for bringing kids for a picnic and dip in the water.The rooms are great for families. Our two-queen bed room had a separate space for setting up our portable crib which worked great for nap time.
