Beds were really comfortable, fridge didn’t have a freezer section, little bit on the dated side for the rooms but over all nice place for a few nights stay. Huge upside is the shower pressure. Wish they had coffee a little bit easier of an access besides all the way up by the front desk.
Rooms: Clean but dated. Ac/heater loud but ok if you like a fan noise.
Food and drinks: Green Mill attached
Noteworthy details: Nice front desk staff

The rooms have been updated and were clean. Good location. Service was friendly, but we needed to ask them when they were standing there a couple times, they didn't just offer assistance, but happy to help once we got their attention.

Hotels in St. Cloud usually features a homeless person or two loitering in the halls which this place lacked so that's a plus.
Outside the building the melted snow and windy days brought heaps of neglected trash. I suspect none of the trash had been cleaned all winter. Ditto with the heaps of dog piles. The dog waste drop off bin was overflowing with all kinds of refuse dumped in a large pile.
The building feels and looks extremely old. The parking garage entrance is extremely narrow and awkwardly laid out. Despite what staff says about restricted parking being ok to park every spot had a name or designation so best to avoid. Trying to get into the building from the parking lot wasn't difficult, but zero signage gave guidance or raised confidence in the correct path to entry.
The building floor layout is awkward. Signage does help some. The elevator soup mess doesn't make sense.
We landed a room in the hotel they send you when they don't like you. Room 344 specially. The only way to get to this area of the building is by a set of stairs off the second floor. Walking into the room one is met with an immediate dose of swampy foot in the nostrils. The dogs quickly showed us the cleaning staff did a poor job vacuuming. The beds look like they were crushed in place by sumo wrestlers with a sunken middle. Not impressed with the additional back pain from the sleep. The room is stupid tiny. Only reasonable for two people. The refrigerator was half dead and the freezer compartment is about the size of the rotting foot that the room smells like. The freezer compartment has what looks like a layer of moldy cheese slime. Dust on all lamp shades. Furniture moulding just falls away from it if touched.
Trying to connect to the Internet result in error 503. If you do manage to connect you instantly regret it with dial up speeds to help you get nothing done.
Too bad this has a great location. I guess they don't care to do better because they are joined to the convention center so why bother being better. They do allow pets too which is one major reason we opted to stay.

We booked a king suite with hot tub. The room looked nice. We loved the fireplace and the oversized hot tub.
The room looked amazing. Until we started the hot tub and hair flew out of the jets. The ceiling above looked like it has water damage.
The bed was awful. The mattress pad was bulky and knotted up. It was extremely uncomfortable.
Tissue paper was extremely cheap. Nobody wants hard, cheap tissue.
Tv was pretty small
Mold in the bathroom and ceiling damage from water.
I know it’s an older hotel but there’s no reason for these issues.
When we check in the employee was not dressed professional, nor looked like it.
The sink drained really slow and splatterd water all over me.
Close to restaurants and Starbucks

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Kelly Inn in St. Cloud. While the hotel itself is well-kept and clean, I was seriously disappointed with the professionalism of the staff.
When I checked in, I asked the front desk where the best place to park would be due to a disability. I was directed to park near the restaurant entrance, which was supposedly closest to my room. However, after parking, I discovered my room was on the opposite side of the building, causing unnecessary inconvenience.
The bigger issue came the next day when the internet stopped working, which also affected the TV apps. After trying to reach the front desk multiple times, someone finally came to my room to help—but they were wearing street clothes with no uniform or identification. The entire time they were in my room, they were on the phone with the manager and repeatedly said, “What do you want me to tell them?” They admitted to having no training on how to fix the issue and was unable to resolve it. This lack of professionalism was both frustrating and disappointing.
I filed a complaint about these issues, but I never heard anything back.
While the hotel itself is nice, the staff’s lack of training and professionalism really took away from the experience. I’m sharing this review to help future guests understand what to expect when staying here.

Terrible experience. Decided to stop at Bestwestern St Cloud with my wife on our way to our cabin up north. We based decision to stay here on rhe fact they list a beautiful pool and spa, great for winter travel. Check in was a bit weird, lobby full of toilets. Desk attendant was far from helpful and a bit disheveled. Told us to park on side of Greenmill, use side entrance, pass pool and down the stairs to room. No parking available anywhere onsite due to a large party thay rented conference area and the pool area. Parked on city street carried luggage in through the snow, had to move truck before 2 am. Pool was full, large crowd due to convention. Followed signage to extremely small room in basement type area, with a loud pool/mechanical room across the hall. No mention of stair acces and a fire trap space or 5 or so rooms in lower level.
Called desk and asked if we could get a different room or upgrade to a spa room(i would have even paid) told they were fully occupied. Not true, I can book online at priceline for $60 extra. Went to dinner, came back to party still going strong....checked bestwestern website and they still have rooms available and also the spa suite. I will never stay here again. Great town, terrible Bestwestern. I just retired as a Director of a large Hospitality company and am amazed at the sloppiest and non caring team I have ever experienced. Beware my friends!
Rooms: We were pushed into a crappy room that i could not change because I booked on priceline.
Safety: Bad Deal

Do not ever stay over night here. So gross.
Rooms stink, no air flow, super cold due to old windows, tub drained slow, tiny rooms, old saggy spring mattresses, gross stuff on walls, no breakfast, no breakfast served at adjoining restaurant.....definitely not $130 a night value. More like $80 at motel 6 vibe.

4.5. We were here for an FFA Conference, and we were surprised by just how good this place was. The rooms were beautiful and had very nice shampoo and conditioner. The service up front was very helpful and answered questions about St. Cloud. The location was less than a mile from where we were heading.
Nearby activities: The river and St. Cloud State University
Noteworthy details: The green mill restaurant was right next to it

Will never be going back after the manager openly was being hostile to our group after we had a party here, and this is after 20+ years of nothing but great experiences here 😡

It was like a giant party place. All night spilling out into the hallways. If your looking to party all night thus us the place to go.

Staff was nice. I had planned to bring a dog, so I got a dog friendly room. It was on the third floor farthest from everything, a bit of a walk to even get to the lobby. The room was clean and sufficient. My only complaint is that when changing the ac I accidentally activated the electric heat a couple of times and just being on for a minute, it heated up and burned what smelled like urine soaked layers of dust on inside the heaters and caused the smoke alarm to go off. Then the room smelled so bad of hot urine that I nearly vomited. Makes me concerned for when it’s cool and someone needs to use the heat. It will need to be addressed.
Walkability: Very convenient for the convention center.

Above average. Clean and well thought out rooms, and great coffee. Breakfast would be great if they had it.
