Always have a good experience here and it's the only place I buy boots. They always help people in the order they walk in the store so it can take some time but it doesn't bother me because that's how it should be. All these other people on here are complaining how it takes so long and that they don't like how they talk to customers and all that but I've never had an issue with that. All in all very nice people!

I'm extremely disappointed in the poor service my mother received at the Boot Shack last Friday. To give some background, my dad dropped off his boots to get them fixed, and my mom picked them up for him.I have a message for the owner, Kevin, and I would like other customers to see this as well:You were incredibly rude from the moment my mom walked in. Like any normal customer, she said she was picking up boots for her husband, and gave a name. Instead of saying, "One moment please. Let me find them for you," you started questioning her, asking for details of the boot (boot type, size, etc.).My mom didn't have boot details, and asked if the boots were simply labeled with my dad's name (Which they should be). You replied with, "Well, I have a lot of boots back here." First of all, your lack of organization skills isn't my mom's problem. Secondly, if you have a lot of different boots, then label them appropriately by last name so you can easily find them.To make matters worse, you humiliated my mom in front of the entire store, and loudly complained to your wife, "I hate it when husbands send their wives to come in here for them. They never know what they're doing." It's concerning that you seem to think it's okay to treat your customers that way. After that, my mom tried paying with credit card, and you informed her that all boot repairs had to be paid with check or cash. She didn't have her check book, and left her debit card at home, so she couldn't take out cash at the ATM. You belittled her again, asking why she couldn't just put in her pin number at the ATM (As if she doesn't know how to use an ATM machine). After that discussion, you informed her that you could magically take her credit card, but had to charge a $10 fee due to credit card fees. Credit card fees are no more than 4%, so if you're charging a fee for a $150 boot repair, the most you would need to charge is $5.00-$6.00.To add to all of this, you clearly have no problem with bickering with your wife in front of customers, and making everyone feel uncomfortable. You should be ashamed of yourself. Your misogynistic comments and arrogant disregard for others ruined my mom's day, and made her cry. Your behavior was absolutely unacceptable, and I hope you learn from this experience.Do the right thing. Give her a call and apologize.

Kevin belittled and embarrassed my mom when she came in to pick up a pair of boots. Based on several other one-star reviews I’ve read, that behavior seems to be a trend- toward women, in particular. Gross.

Extremely rude to your customers, including misogynistic comments about how you hate wife's picking up things for their husbands because they never know what they are doing. You should be ashamed and embarrassed.

I found the Boot Shack after striking out at other stores. Glad I did!!! Customer service was excellent, they measure your feet and custom fit your boots! Five stars all the way!

Service is horrible!! The people who own this business are very rude, so rude I'm just flabbergasted as I stand outside their store waiting for my 18yr old son inside. The man owner runs the show and repeats himself constantly and then he yelled at me because I brought notes into the store with me and I was writing my sons shoe size down and he yelled at me and told me I don't need to write anything down and wanted to know what exactly was on my paper. The woman sat behind a desk looking at pictures on a computer. When I asked her where we find the prices on the boots she said you have to talk to David (I'm probably wrong with his name bc I can't remember it for sure) he will measure you foot and every boot is different and different size. I said I just want to know how much a man's work boot is. She said you have to be measured and fitted and first, I said before I can know the price? She said yes. I have never been treated so poorly by the owner of a business in my entire life. It's disgusting and I would never give them a penny of hard earned money for someone, now some two's who are so ungrateful to have business that's no small potatoes either were talking $300-$600 is what we planned on spending on boots. They don't care and think they are the best so we should appreciate them not the other way around.

Awesome place with a TON of products & more boots than anywhere I've seen in Minnesota since we lived in Texas! Gabe fitted my daughter for boots, in all aspects, & he is The boot guru, he is so knowledgeable, detailed, & nice(fun & funny too), he walked her through exactly how they should fit, feel, stretch, the differences in the sole... & more. Gabe also made sure the work gloves & belt fit right. & he taught her how to care for them properly. Great experience, fantastic shop, & now the only place we'll go for our gear. Oh & she got a Red Dirt cap she looks awesome in & helps her with shade while working & riding. Even in Texas we didn't get the knowledge, care & attention to detail that the Boot Shack gives?Thank you Gabe

First off I don’t enjoy giving a bad review but notice I am not the only one this happened to.I live 3+ hours away and saw their add saying we have every size possible and so on. Well I went there and was sized and guess what after waiting 30 minutes of the employee looking for a boot he came out with a pair of shoes. In which I said I am here for boots not shoes in return I was told by Kevin the owner I should be great full that I was given this option to buy these shoes. In which I responded with what happened to my size boot which I was told they just sold them and don’t have any plus wasn’t given any option to order or anything. Well I knew my size went online and found a place where I bought 3 pair Rod Patrick boots in my size no problem shipped right to my front door, around a $2,000 purchase. Now fast forward a few years tried this place again over the phone talking to Kevin once again don’t have my size and so on, so again I went online found a place and had again 3 pair shipped to my front door this time spent around $3,000 on Rod Patrick boots. So in closing if your size is common probably have a good experience here but if you have a size like mine AAAA width which is not common probably won’t have a good experience here. Hope you find what your looking for don’t let this place discourage you from Rod Patrick boots they are out there I have found 6 pair this place couldn’t supposedly get. And I am looking at a $2,800 pair as well and guess who won’t be selling them to me.

Terrible experience with the boot shack, they didn’t have the boot I was looking for and tried pushing me a totally different route. They got confrontational when I tried explaining that I was not interested what he had on hand. Had a used car lot feel. Pretty bizarre.

Measured my feet and gave their expert recommendation. 4 years later and I'm still wearing the same Carolina boots to work everyday.(Tried to get some new Red Wings from a closer store and my 4 year old Carolinas held up better)

I went in there and to get a pair of work boots for my job and he left me sitting I went waiting on another three customers for an hour and a half finally came back to me and I told him what boots I wanted and put them on layaway and then something came up where I couldn't get the boots and then he asked me well why couldn't I get them and all that and asked me how much I made through how much I made for which is none of his business and doesn't concern him and this was the owner of The Boot shack I wouldn't suggest to recommend anybody to go there I know I never will again

Do NOT spend your hard earned $$ here! This guy has a serious God complex and loves to try to tell people how he is the only one who can correctly measure a foot and that most people are wearing the WRONG show size ! He asked my husband if he had been listening while he was explaining it all to his other customer and when my husband asked him to see a particular boot in his size the guy told him he'd have to measure his foot first. We just left. Too old to be told what we do and don't need buy this guy!

I bought my husband a full grain leather belt from this store two months ago. We just got it today because of backorders from the maker. The owner extorted my husband $11.00 saying that the price went up for the belt when he picked it up! We were supposed to get the belt 2 weeks after ordering it. The staff is rude and unsympathetic.
