Went in to have them check a capacitor from my air compressor it was fine.
He wasn't just trying to sell me a part.He explained to me what to look for on my compressor so I may be able to fix it.He said I could sell you a capacitor but you don't need one. It's nice to know people still have integrity out there. That's why I will come back and have referred other people to electric motor service.

This place is fantastic! They replaced a bearing on my Bryant Furnace draft enducer motor and it's running like new. The HVAC tech ( not associated with Electric Motor Service) that diagnosed the failing bearing stated the replacement motor was unavailable/discontinued ($1300 part) so I may need to consider a new furnace. I'm glad someone referred me to Electric Motor Service. $200 repair and furnace is back up and running. Thank you!!! Brian was especially helpful!!

Reading through other reviews, I guess your experience may vary depending on who's helping you? So my review is regarding service rendered by Steve (I think?). I had an AC chilling tower fan motor I need replaced and fan blade removed. Steve got the new motor all wired up, cut the shaft to the exact height and removed the blade with no damage I could see (I think he cut the shaft and drilled it out instead of pushed it). He has good attention to details and I could tell how to wire up the new motor from his color-coded tapes and short wires he snipped off my old motor and cable tied to the new one. It's peace of mind even if you know exactly what you are doing. So all in all if you are very capable and have all the right tools for the job, you could spend less on amazon. But if you are just trying to DIY a few things, save a couple hundred bucks, without having to own every tool and know every trick (safely doing them), and you want to keep amazon from crushing every local business, you would want to pay for the labor and slightly higher parts cost.Service: Air conditioning

Non-transparent invoices came out three times to fix a motor and it came out to 5 times what we were quoted.
