WOW!! There are still good people left in this world! Thought I needed a trailer to haul a car but ended up not needing the trailer and got the car to my garage. Brought the trailer back right away and the guy running the store reimbursed me the rental fee. Definitely a great experience!!

Rude. The dude working the counter was so methed out that he barely could function and kept getting weird with us. Sonja called my husband repeatedly and wouldn’t stop which is odd because she was standing there when we told them nvm. It’s pretty disgusting that they’re both on drugs & they were bashing people in the community and other employees while ignoring us for 10-15 mins. Meth must be 1 helluva drug!

Rented a trailer to move some lumber. Was advised there was no action needed for after hours drop off as the manager would check it in the following morning. The following morning my card received an additional charge. I called and it was explained that when after hours drop off occurs you are supposed to check it in on the mobile app to avoid a fee. At no point was I verbally told this when renting this trailer. I explicitly asked if There was anything I needed to do upon drop off and was told “no, just place it under the canopy….” I get that you can add verbiage to a receipt with the terms that advise of this return fee, but it is rather shady practice to say no action needed when clearly there was! Did the employee forget to mention it? Who knows but with my questions specifically regarding it, you think it would jog the memory. Even still, it happens, but when calling the next day to inquire about this mystery charge, one would expect good service from a business and a willingness to own up to a lack of advisement of a potential additional fee! Just because you are covered on paper doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have good business practice and provide good customer experience by understating when the customer was never told about the fee and be willing to waive it.

Why even take reservations for an item when it’s not completely guaranteed you’ll have it the day it’s needed? Then give the customer a phone number to try and call around to find it? Especially when the customer is on their way to pick up the originally reserved item?Absolute complete joke of a way to handle business.

We’ve been rent from this u-haul store since I moved here. We always get great service and friendly staff. Today as we are moving out of the town, we got the best service from Michael. He patiently helped us pick out the supplies we need and even helped my husband loading them up, since I am with the baby. Hate to say goodbye, but always love this store and recommend it to everyone!

I got ripped off once again. I booked a uhaul 3 weeks early for a 17 feet for 204;00 The night before, they send me an email, that I have no truck at there location. Telling me that I had to pick up a 26 ft truck in Avon, 30 minutes away. They did not compensate me for the bigger truck or mileage either. They rented that truck and was told I have 1/4 tank of gas. Then getting on the freeway to go back to St Cloud, when I see the gas gauge is barried in the red/empty. I did an emergency turn of on the next exit to get gas right away.Finally after my move, that notice. I was charged 272 dollars for the move and then 2 hours later after returning the truck I was charged another 225.77 for the same truck. After fighting on the phone with Uhaul, they will give me more miles to compensate for the other location and give me credit back. Guess what they did not give me any mileage extra, nothing for the bigger truck. Credited my account with 168 dollars. WOW, to do a 1 way trip 45 minutes away cost me now. 335 dollars and more gas, in the tank than I had to begin with yes 380;00. Again should have cost 204 plus tax. This was not the first time they did this to me, this was the 3rd over years. I spent thousands over the years. I will NEVER rent from the company again, unless they makes this right. SO BE FOR warned to get major ripped off if you rent. I will be getting any other company, it will be worth it.

Rented a small unit for 2 weeks of use. Lady who answers phones is rude and has an attitude problem. I didn't even tell them I moved out, they just automatically moved me out even though I had at least 2 weeks of paid time left. Sneaky.

Made an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed 2 weeks prior. Arrived early since I had to work and the location wasn’t opened. Called the store across town for some answers and they were unable to help, reschedule, or answer any questions I had. Very unprofessional.

My storage unit door was bent so they gave me a different lock to fit it better and then messaged me saying that I had the wrong lock and they were changing it . Also my unit smelled like dead animal or hot garbage constantly and I messaged uhaul about it but never got a response. Call time waits are always over an hour to talk to someone when you need help.

I've lived in the St Cloud area for almost 10 years. Mike was there for us when we arrived, has been there through several local moves, and there have been times when I have seen him extremely busy, but I have never experienced him being rude. As I see it, he's coming up on a 20-year anniversary and U-Haul is fortunate to have him.
