The pharmacy staff are fantastic. This review has nothing to do with them.
If this were based entirely on the answering service, I would give the least amount of stars possible. The new answering service doesn't allow me to speak directly to a staff member at a time that is convenient for me. You have to go through a ten minute menu and then leave a message containing your personal information, and then wait for someone to call you back. It also doesn't allow me to leave a message after hours, and wait for a call back in the morning. It also asks me repeatedly to refill prescriptions I am no longer on. Also, the text reminders are TOO MUCH!! Sometimes I get several a day with the same medication information.
Please fix the automation. It is not good patient care. It is frustrating and inconvenient and honestly, not furthering the betterment of the community. Do better.

I spent 2 hours in a Target store waiting for prescriptions to be filled. CVS was supposed to be open at 10. Pharmacist didn't show up until 11. They then opened and it was another hour before I got the prescriptions. No explanation! Pretty frustrating.

I had the worst pharmacy customer service experience in my life today at this CVS. I had to come into the CVS in Target because according to the pharmacist it is now the CVS policy not to answer phone calls. I left a message the previous day but the call wasn't returned. At the CVS, I had to verbally ask for help to get the attention of the techs because they were talking and obviously not happy to be interupted. When the tech couldn't help, I asked the pharmacist for help and she was equally dismissive. My experience with other pharmacists and techs is usually very positive and this was such a disappointment for my regular pharmacy.

Usually good service but recently this CVS location has made Rx substitutions without asking me and at times they have even cancelled automatic refill orders without providing me notification.

I’m honestly shocked this CVS only has two stars?? This isn’t my usual location, but every time I’ve been to this one, the ladies working have been nothing but courteous, quick, and friendly. :)
~Sometimes~ I’ll have to wait on hold a few minutes when I call in, but that’s literally the case for every pharmacy in America right now, so people just need to be more patient. They obviously don’t want to make you wait any more than you want to be waiting. Like it’s stressful for them to have long lines or a million phone calls too?? So chill out.
And anyone who takes issue with that needs to take five seconds to Google what crazy call volume requirements, prescriptions filled per X amount of time benchmarks, etc. that CVS pharmacies have for their teams. And then practice a little empathy.
Pharmacy healthcare workers are problem-solving some of the most complex issues a person can deal with all day long: the medications you take AND American health insurance system (which is daunting enough). They should be recognized more for the incredible work they do (as I imagine this is a very thankless industry) and this CVS pharmacy has truly been great every time I’ve been there :)
Anywho, sorry about the rant lol :) but seriously a huge thank you to all the nice people who work at this CVS and have helped me. You’re doing really important work in very challenging times and just know you are so appreciated!

The staff is friendly. Bed side manner could be better. Theprocess of having medication transferred over the phone is becoming so difficult. There was a lot of information that I was asked that only my provider could give. I only had my insurance card. For those who would like to know, I ended up having had to just call my insurance prescription service and get my medication delivered to me since I really saw no benefit in coming in even after the woman I spoke to over the phone told me that she couldn’t find my information when I provided it to her that way.

Somehow the prescription is 4 times as expensive here as hyvee. Although goodrx shows the coupon rate to be 11 dollars, the pharmacist says it is 48. I have never had this problem at any pharmacy other than this one. Buyer/ patient beware!

While I support lunch breaks from 1:30 - 2 pm for the personnel of the CVS pharmacy. I can’t understand why the setup the operation so the service to customers is uninterrupted. I arrived a few minutes before their break and all the customers waiting in line before the break are not serviced at 1:30. Management at the pharmacy should look for a solution that works for the employees and the customers also.

Upon concluding with urgent care nearby my dr sent my scrip to this pharmacy. I was surprised when I arrived at the store to find the pharmacy closed at 7 pm. CVS obviously is no longer considering the needs of its customers. Instead inconveniencing customers is their choice. Most working people need to shop and get necessities AFTER work through the evening. Not only did CVS cause me to suffer unnecessarily with pain longer by causing me to wait to get my scrip the next day, their incompetent system made it impossible for me to transfer the scrip to a target pharmacy that was open until 9 pm!!!! Do yourself a favor, don’t patronize CVS until customers are the priority. I’ll never have another scrip sent to any CVS location ?

Don’t get your prescriptions filled at this location. They lost my paper prescriptions multiple times and over charged me by not putting my insurance card in correctly. I’m now working with cvs corporate to get money back. Terrible experience.
