My little guy had been going to Lucky Pets for 9 years, up until last fall/winter of 22. I believe all of the groomers walked out, we never got a call from them letting us know they no longer had groomers, we found out when we called for our monthly appointment. Fast forward, I had to find a different groomer, he hated it, he came home sick, and full of cuts. A few months ago Lucky Pets re-opened, we got a small discount but prices changed, went up again and the place my little guy loved going to now hates it. He was so excited the first time to be going back, but he was NEVER excited again. He hates it there now, does NOT want to go. So, now I'm back at square one with no groomer!!! Will NOT BE GOING BACK AGAIN. The old staff was sweet and they all knew Bandit, now they are just very curt and not at all sweet with my dog anymore.

My dog is six year old bernadoodle. When she was less than a year old I brought her to Lucky Pets to get groomed. They shaved her right down to the skin. She is now six. Since that time I have been to groomers in Demano, Buffalo, and down in Florida and not one has shaved her like that. I recently needed to get her groomed and I thought what the heck let's try them again. My husband brought her there, he told them to give her a puppy cut. They said she was matted so he told them to even it out. When I picked her up the shaved her again, right down to the skin. She now looks like a greyhound. It is absolutely terrible. It is pure laziness of the groomer to do what they did. I have also groomed my dog and I use a four blade so I know it was not that matted. Also, not one groomer has ever did what they did to her! I will never go back there again. And it cost me $130.00

Bottom Line Up Front: We have been boarding our two dogs for the last 9 years at various facilities in WI prior to moving to the St.Michael, MN area with zero issues. I believe the methods for gathering the dogs (one person grabbing multiple dogs out of the kennels while trying to control the ones they have already) lead to an incident that could have been avoided, but none the less they had a path forward for our dogs to continue to attend boarding.Despite some great interactions with the staff over a couple stays we can't recommend. On the last stay in Sept. of 2022 one of our dogs was aggressive toward another dog while being retrieved for group play time. they handled the communication well at the time and made us aware that our dogs were still welcome. We set up follow on stays , but ultimately had to cancel them last second due to the facility shutting it's doors due to staffing issues. We had no indication that our pet's were not welcome to stay at the facility and we were told that the next stay our dog that had the incident would just need to be isolated instead of having group play time.Fast forward 8 months and the facility has a new manager and staff and is open again for boarding. We have an upcoming trip and schedule a stay, update vaccination records and all is confirmed and good to go. Our trip is 48 hours out and we we receive and email informing us that our Dog is not welcome due to past aggression and they have canceled our reservation.I'm sure the staff is solid, but the level communication is not.

Owners have no interest in overall care of dogs. Everything is fixed with duck tape, dogs are in kennels majority of the day. If you think your dog is tired from going here, they're likely just stressed.

Lucky Pets used to be the only place we would get our Border Collie and Australian Shepherd groomed. We brought both dogs in for a full groom the other day. We were informed when we go there that they wouldn’t be doing a full groom but just a tidy up. This was priced at $100 per dog. When we went to pick them up it ended up being almost $280 and neither dog was groomed how we wanted. Both looked like they had just gotten baths and gained about 10lbs. We will definitely not be back.

My dog Alice had a great time at her first time in doggy daycare, the staff were super welcoming and my pup is normally pretty nervous around strangers but she seemed so relaxed and happy when I picked her up! We will definitely use lucky pets again in the future for boarding and daycare!

Nobody is knowledgeable that works there. Charged the wrong price for dog food. Never in all the yrs going there have they input your points correctly to get your 10th bag for free. Wish they sold the pet food I buy somewhere else closer. Hoping they get it together soon!

Went in 3/26/23, for our dogs nails to be trimmed. They had walk-in service. The young lady was very kind and patient with our dog. Reasonable prices

Never had an issue with Lucky Pets previously, received a "courtesy call" from our Groomer telling us that our grooming appointment would be cancelled and need to be rescheduled. It appears that Lucky Pet has closed the grooming, boarding and daycare areas of the building due to excessive mold, and the staff have left their employment because of this issue which apparently was known and left unaddressed by the owners of the business. Very sad to hear and now concerned about the staff, my dog and myself have been exposed to because of management negligence.

We brought our dog in on Saturday to get her nails trimmed and was told they are no longer open on Friday, Saturday or Sunday but that they will be open on Monday until 8 and they would be able to do it then. So I brought her in on Monday at 6:30 after work and again it was closed and was told that the Groomers leave at 5. So why didn’t they tell us that part on Saturday? Great way to go out of business if that’s their goal.

This is the only facility I’ve used for grooming my dog for the past 5 years, and they always did a wonderful job. However, I brought my dog for his appointment last week and found the building locked. One newer employee was in the parking lot, locked out and trying to get ahold of someone. Eventually we were able to get in, and then I was told that all grooming had been suspended until January. I had made my appointment almost 2 months earlier and had never been notified that it was canceled. The worst part is that the owner texted with his employee about all of this and didn’t have the decency to call me and explain what had happened or apologize. Sadly, I’ll never bring my dog back here. They have lost a loyal customer.

I'm very disappointed. My dog has been going to Lucky Pets for daycare twice a week for well over a year now. When I called today to add more days to their calendar I was told that the entire grooming staff resigned. Turns out most of their staff resigned last night. That's not an advancement opportunity that's a statement. I'm told there were concerns for our pets' safety and health that were not being addressed by the owner.Today the Lucky Pets Facebook page is claiming "unexpected renovations". I do not appreciate being lied to. If there's a problem, admit it, fix it, and move on.I won't be back anytime soon.(This review was previously 5 stars)

I have boarded my dog at Lucky Pets for the past 2+ years. In these few years the cost of boarding my dog has gone from $45 to $65 a night (semi-private room) and they charge $49 deposit to board and now to find out they won’t refund my deposit when I call 4 days in advance to cancel my boarding is ridiculous! ’ I have never been told this deposit won’t be refunded and It’s not like I’m canceling 24-48 before my date of arrival. I am probably one of the few people that boards a dog here for great lengths at a time and I am frustrated with the continuing price increases and policy changes I will be looking into different boarders if this is the policy they have.

Would never bring my dog back there..I find out that because my dog was a little unfriendly with a dog there.. ..I find out that she was put upstairs where it was dark,no windows,no water.they sat there looking scared..Not one person came up to see how they were.If a fire broke out they would not be saved. No sprinkler system. NEVER NEVER WOULD BRING MY DOG BACK THERE.
