La Mexicana Market is a hidden gem in Saint Peter, a nice little market with a typical mini-super vibe. It offers tasty, authentic Mexican food, including fantastic tacos, wonderful quesadillas, great sopes and pupusas, and big portions of items like chicken empanadas and enchiladas. The food is fresh and the sauces hit the mark. The grocery portion is stocked with pantry staples, a range of fresh meat and vegetables, lots of tasty snacks, and dried peppers not found in typical stores. Prices are fair. The staff is very kind, helpful, and friendly, contributing to an authentic atmosphere. It is definitely worth a visit and a try.

Tasty authentic Mexican food! Had chicken empanadas and the flavor was ‘come back for more’ and enchiladas were the same. Big portions, fresh and sauces hit the mark. Staff were really friendly and store had nice selections. Will be back for more! You definitely need to try them out!

We stopped in to check it out, and the staff was very friendly. Decided to order some tacos, and they were some of the best I've had in Minnesota. Closest I've had since we moved from Texas.
