Nice historic hotel right on the water front and within walking distance of all the attractions of Stillwater. I was in town for business for one week. All in all I had a great stay. The rooms are very large, but could do without the corner Jacuzzi tubs and add some more furniture in it's place. The bathroom could use some updates to the shower. The staff was really great and took care of any of my needs.

We paid $264 a night to stay at the Water Street Inn in January. I asked for a King bed when I booked but when we arrived we were assigned a queen. That had been my only request at booking. We were given a room in the older section so I'm not sure what the newer rooms look like but we were very unimpressed with the hotel. I get that they're trying to keep the historical look of the place but it just seems very run down and way to expensive for the quality and finishes. We were in 206. Room layout was very strange. Jet tub was in a separate room by itself. Tub was so loud when it was running it seemed like it would blow up or at the very least disturb rooms around us. Only one window in the tub room that was letting in tons of cold air. Bathroom had barely any place to set anything due to pedestal sink and didn’t even have a place to hang a hand towel. Dark, dingy, outdated and not worth the cost. Would not recommend. Best part was the location to down town but the price is outrageous for what you get.

Do not stay here!!! As a local Stillwater native this place is a disaster and way too expensive for what it is. I’m embarrassed hearing all what my parents experienced here.

The room had hair on the bathroom floor and there were small hairs on the bed. The 2 in the morning drunks sucked. The service was polite and professional.

It was my girl friend birthday day and it was supposed to be a celebration surprise. We called in advance! Dropped off balloons for my girl friends surprised birthday. They didn’t even put them in the room? 250 a night is highway robbery! Rooms falling apart and staff not having passion what so ever. The location is prime but the hotel is awful. A holiday in had better standards…..

My fiancé and I booked a room here through Expedia. The site said pet friendly so we brought our dog and assumed we would have a small fee. When we arrived we were charged “extra taxes” and $19 for their empty parking lot and were told we weren’t permitted to have our dog unless we paid for a room that cost another $100/night. The person at the front desk also charged the group before us a different fee for the same parking. My partner and I went to discuss this around the corner and a woman who we presumed to be the manager found us and said they had a room available at the same rate that was pet friendly. The room was clean but run down, one of the chairs in the room was broken and so was one of the elevators in the hotel. As others have said, the walls are very VERY thin.Additionally, we made multiple phone calls two weeks prior to our stay to discuss renting the ballroom for our wedding and never received a response. We were told it was because the event coordinator was out during the days we were visiting. The location is convenient and the room was clean, but we will not be planning to return.

It was so bad! The room was outdated. The bed was broken and probably the most uncomfortable bed too! When we called they said there was nothing they could do about it. When the neighbor turned on their Jacuzzi tub our entire room started vibrating with a loud noise. This went on for well over an hour early morning. The toilet was broken and wobbly. We are super disappointed in the money we spent and the hotel for not compensating for the horrible experience. The only thing the hotel has going for it is the location.

Staff was friendly, location is great. You can just feel the history and each room has it's own story of a legend of Stillwater's past. I loved the history but hated smelling it... Jacuzzi in each room. Great in concept but the building was not built for all that humidity in my opinion. Smelled of musty mildew like my grandmas old farmhouse basement which was built about the same time as this hotel. All the antique furniture gives you that feel of stepping back in time, but I did not enjoy the mattress from the 1900s... In short, if they get a new HVac system to purify the air/control humidity and new beds, would be a 5 star rating. Again staff was professional and friendly.

My biggest complaint is there Is no refrigerator in the room. You have to call down to the desk to get one. I need to keep my insulin cold. They were prompt bringing up the frig. My complaint is that I have an ice pack that needs to be frozen to keep insulin cold for traveling. They have freezers buy, cannot keep a guests ice pack in the freezer due to health concerns. I travel quite a lot and have never had anyone refuse to freeze my ice pack. They offered to give me ice (which will melt) and will cause an issue for security at the airport. Also, There is no safe in the room to keep valuables. One dresser drawer is not useable because they store linens in it. So, you get two small half drawers and one small drawer. I would not recommend this place at all!

This is the worst hotel I have every stayed at and it was expensive. No comfortable chairs in the Suite. The murphy bed was much smaller than a double. We had to go to the front desk to ask for toilet paper and towels. Also no ice machines, had to go to the front desk to get ice. There wasn't a table in the 2 room suite if you wanted to eat in your room. There was a tray left outside a room in the hallway the whole 3 nights we were there. The tub was very slippery, no handles to hang on to, it was very difficult taking a shower. The window shades were very old and would not pull all the way down. Charlies Pub did have very good food. The location was good, but had to pay $19 per night to park...RIDICULOUS!!! I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.Walkability: It is right downtown

As other's have mentioned this hotel is a great location, but the service has some things left to be desired for the price of the room. They absolutely will not accommodate an early check-in. I called a month in advance, a week in advance, a day in advance and day-of to see if we could get an early check-in as we had a wedding that started before their stringent check-in time at 4pm. Every time I called, I received a brush off that they wouldn't know more until later. Coming from out of town, we were hoping to have a room to drop our bags and get ready before departing for the wedding. With absolutely no flexibility in their check-in time, we used their lobby bathrooms and had to check-in to our room past midnight. Therefore, we were only in the room for 10 hours, as the check-out time is 11:00am. It is hard to believe that there are absolutely no rooms available before check-in time at 4:00pm and every single room has completed being turned at precisely 4:00pm. It seems that with a little prioritization and scheduling, they could improve their service reviews working with guests rather than against them.

Nice location, but the service did not impress. The hot water was out for most of our trip. It was out when we checked in but they did not let us know until we called to report the issue from our room. No manager was available during our stay, and they never returned our calls. We’ll be trying the Lora hotel a couple of blocks away next time. It looked cute and modern and is also right on the main drag.
