Northern Rail Traincar Inn is a very unique, quirky, and charming gem of a hotel, built out of authentic boxcars with original ceilings. It is a rustic and fun spot in a beautiful, secluded, and quiet area, close to Two Harbors. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, not lacking, and pretty affordable with a fair price. The property itself is gorgeous. Guests note the friendly and great management who put their hearts into the care of the inn. Amenities include a free breakfast, over 1,000 DVDs with players in each room, tons of board games, and actual keys. Some points noted are a musty smell, firm beds, small TVs, and limited cell service requiring WiFi. Overall, it is a perfect, amazing place to stay instead of a modern resort.
I can't quite give it 5 stars as our bed was so firm, could not get comfortable. Everything else was a 5.

Perfect. A real unique place to stay in a beautiful area with lovely friendly people running the place. I will happily stay here again when I am next in the area.

What an amazing gem of a hotel. We spent one night for our anniversary and I just have to say, one night is not enough. This hotel is unique, charming and so quiet. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and the property itself is gorgeous.
