Pet Stores in Virginia, MN

“I want to thank Critter Care very much for the help they gave us during a recent camping trip.
Our puppy is only 6 months old and she had been playing and having a great time, when suddenly she became very sleepy. At first I thought the excitement of being in a different place and new smells had wore her out. Then her head started wobbling and she couldn't walk.
We had no idea what was wrong with her, but it seemed serious and scary. We were up near Ely with almost no cell signal, but we contacted 3 vets in the area and they told us they couldn't see her and to go to Duluth to Urgent Care.
As we drove through Virginia, we thought, there's one place we hadn't called, if we stop in and have the puppy show up looking cute and pathetic, maybe they'll have pity on us.
We stopped and even though it was getting close to the end of the day, they agreed to check her out for us.
Virtually everyone there was so kind, caring and empathetic.
It turned out someone must have left dropped some sort of marijuana product, a gummy, a bud, something on the ground and she had found it and ate it.

PSA: If you use marijuana in public places that's up to you, but please, make sure you don't leave anything lying around on the ground. It is not good for dogs and it's scary and expensive for their owners.

At least she tested negative for opioids and meth, but we all know marijuana is a gateway drug, so I showed her some PSA's from the 80's on the way back to the campground.
In any case, we could not have been for pleased and thankful for the service Critter Care gave our pup. They even asked us to call the next day to follow up, but as I mentioned earlier, we didn't have much cell reception where we were camping and we weren't able to follow up with them. We apologize for that, but we would like to publicly thank you.
Even thought this wasn't an inexpensive trip to the vet, I can't imagine how much you saved us in cost, anxiety and travel to get to the Urgent Care in Duluth.
I would highly recommend Critter Care to anyone in the area, or who happens to be traveling in the area.”

“Mickey got his Lion cut that he loves to strut around the house along with get'n his nails and fur did. He looks and feels amazing. Great Friendly welcoming and accommodating staff along with great work will definitely have us return for the our diva royal treatment. Great Job thank you.”

“I always have a great experience. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I wish I would’ve gotten names! The parking sucks (def not their fault) and I always get heavy things. Today (08/27/25 5:30-6:00 pm) the gentleman there were awesome. They were ready and willing to haul my things to my car. I laughed and said they didn’t have to. One was heading home and the other stood by while the delightful woman checked me out. I said you are going to haul these to my car aren’t you and he said I sure am. Now that’s just delightful!!! I hate shopping and they made my experience so not painful.”

“Went to pick up my cat from them and they were extremely nice and caring and gave me all details that have been done with her, will definitely recommend them for anyone looking to adopt an animal they are amazing!!!”
