Was going to open a new account today. I have a house closing tomorrow and was going to out all proceeds (almost $100k) into this new account. I unfortunately lost my wallet during the transition but had just gotten a temporary ID from the DMV. She wouldn’t let me open an account. Like, what?Now, I’m a total advocate for small town banks and credit unions. These non-corporate banks would’ve had the common sense to have me as a customer. Can’t fix stupid.

From my personal experiences with Wells Fargo, this is not the right bank for you if you are an elderly person, who cannot physically drive yourself to the bank in-person, to validate that every paper check you write it is not fraud. Beware that the Fraud department with Wells Fargo will repeatedly put you on hold and hang up on you when you try to resolve problems via phone calls. Beware of your credit score falling because Wells Fargo may not clear paper checks that you write to pay your bills even when you have sufficient funds within your account. Wells Fargo will readily assume fraud, and leave you to deal with the consequences, which could be criminal accusations from those entities who try to cash your paper checks. I’ve never experienced such dysfunctional customer service from any other bank in over 30 years of banking. Bank with a small local bank instead and keep your integrity and good reputation intact.

Melissa and Ward went out of their way to help close my sdb as i did not make an appointment. I would have been charged $100 the next day otherwise. Thank you!

Recently my husband & I brought in 164 US Savings bonds to cash. Brianna & Melissa teamed up to get this done in a timely & efficient manner. Brianna kept at it while Melissa helped out between other customers. They were both so pleasant; we were even able to have a few laughs during this process. We really appreciated their great customer service!

They never answer the phone and being in a rural area I can't drive to town and hope they are open, so tired of it the Virginia MN branch is the worst ever! The ladies are rude and they never answer the phone no matter what department you ask for

Very bad customer service it is nice big building but no staff works no bankers will help. And the teller her name is Melissa such d*** person thats why she works there. They just have no time for customers they just need all of them to be fired so they work at a fast food well not good customer service. Maybe cleaning jobs around ?

Unfortunately all of my experiences with the representatives on the phone with this branch have been very unhelpful especially during a very sensitive time. The tone of the representatives on the phone has always been very condescending. I do not have much experience with this branch other than the conversations I’ve had on the phone.

The website is down, once again. I have some banking business to transact and with the current Minnesota winter weather warning I cannot drive the 20 miles to the nearest bank. This is not acceptable.
