The store used to be really good and we could go there for some milk and eggs when we forgot them at the grocery store in Roseau or Thief River, but we’ve run into 3 too many inconveniences with this store. One, we’ve noticed that when the owner sees we are interested in a product the next time we come back the product’s price is raised. My mother was interested in some beef teriyaki that came in a pack and it was a dollar 59¢ when she saw it, the next time she came back to try and buy it it was FIVE DOLLARS. 2. The owner currently has a dog in the store, which wouldn’t be a problem if the dog was well behaved and didn’t disturb customers. But instead as soon as we entered the store the dog began barking and ran up to us, and frankly I was a bit scared because the dog did not sound friendly at all. It wasn’t wagging its tail, it was clearly frustrated that we had entered its home. When my sister had turned around to go to the frozen aisle the dog ran up behind her and nearly bit her hand. Not only that- but it took the owner FOREVER to get his dog under control so it didn’t attack us. It took a good minute for the owner to finally come in the room and take his dog back. We’re unsure if this is the owner of the store’s dog or if it’s a relatives, but either way the dog should not be just out and about like that in the store if it’s not friendly towards strangers, they should at least put the dog in the back room and warn customers if the dog isn’t friendly. We have a dog named Angel that is half pit bull and half Labrador and she may not get along with other dogs but she is very sweet towards people. The dog in the store is my biggest complaint since the dog could get someone hurt if it isn’t well trained or friendly to strangers. 3. Last Sunday I went with my mother to the store and it didn’t say it was closed, no sign on the door, no sign of the shop being closed or anything and the door was locked. It may be a tiny mistake that’s not that bad, sometimes people forget to put stuff up that says it’s closed or they might be too tired but either way it’s an inconvenience for us. We will not be coming back mostly due to the dog that almost bit us, most of everything else we could overlook but the dog incident should not have happened.

Awesome store that has all your essential needs plus fuel and beer. If you need a pizza or gut bombs they have that too. With fabulous employees to make your stop worth while.
