My experience at Nelson’s was easily a 11/10 I needed some important work done on my vehicle right before heading on a roadtrip and their team was extremely accommodating and understanding for the short notice and they ensured I was on the road in a timely manner. So if you’re unsure about going to Nelson’s take this a a sign to go👍👍👍

I went to Nelson’s Lakeside Auto for my car, and even though they weren’t able to fix the issue this time, the experience was honestly amazing. Mike at the front desk was super helpful, kind, and had such great energy the whole time. The service overall was a 10/10. I felt respected and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest and friendly service!

One of the best experiences I've ever had getting my 98' Cobra fixed. They sought out the small issues immediately and didn't overcharge me whatsoever and got it done in a very timely matter. Will absolutely be going back for any repairs I need in the future. Josh and his staff are super nice and professional and actually treat you like you're their only customer. Thanks so much!!!

Recently started taking my Volvo to Nelson - huge fan. Pricing is fair and workmanship is great. There was one problem with a repair on our AC where parts were failing (not Nelson's fault) and they fixed the problem for no charge. Highly recommend.

Came in for an alternator repair And got it repaired, but then had a problem overheating after leaving the shop. They were nice enough to get the car towed back to the shop and fix the problem and they did an amazing job compensating us for the troubles. They went as far as replacing a tie rod and giving us an alignment for free. They went above and beyond to make sure that the customer is happy and I appreciate them and will return

They are a very great group of mechanics! I highly recommend Josh although the entire team is efficient and hardworking, I specifically worked/spoke with him. Great customer service, explained all of my issues in detail and how to avoid some issues in the future. Very resourceful group and even have a loaner vehicle to accommodate my vehicle being absent for a couple of days. I highly recommend this repair shop for any and all repairs!!

Long story alert. TL:DR at the bottom.
I brought my car to Nelson’s for what I thought was a tie rod issue and a gas tank sensor issue (per another shop). Josh asked to do a free front end inspection and found the parts that were problematic were not the ones the other shop said and he had photos to back up his findings, which were sent to me for review.
There were a few bad parts on the front and, including a couple of leaks, and a leak in the rear suspension. I decided to go all in for $5,000 in repairs…it’s a lot of money, but there were multiple issues and the quote from Nelson’s was lower than two other places I’d called. So I approved the work via a cool text program they use, they brought me a loaner vehicle, and off they went on making repairs!
While doing the work, they found my sensor wasn’t the issue, but some wiring that had been eaten by a critter, which reduced my bill by over $500. #Winning
Cue up to the day my car was done. I got a call it was ready and - because I couldn’t get away from work - they did me another solid and offered to swap my car with the loaner at my office.
And then my transmission went out on the way to me. I cried. Hard. Life just sucks hard sometimes. I’d just spent all this money on repairs and now I had another issue that I knew was going to be wicked expensive. Josh was beyond patient and empathetic as he told me not only what happened, but told me I had options.
Option 1: I could replace the transmission and they’d give me a discount (at their expense), because of all the money I’d just spent. Option 2: they’d put my car back as it was and I’d just be out the cost of labor. Option 3: I could sign my title to them and they’d refund me in full.
Many shops - and I know this from experience - would have told you that you were SOL and either offer to do the transmission repair at cost or find you a tow to return your car to you. The fact that they were willing to purchase my car (which I owed nothing on), was an amazing offer that untimely was the best for me based on my cars value vs. total cost of repairs with a new transmission.
I’m in a new vehicle, all thanks to their graciousness in a rare situation, and I’ll forever be thankful to them. They are now my new shop and I suspect they will be for life. The level of integrity, empathy, and quality of service I received far exceed all other mechanic experiences I’ve ever had. My friends and family are all planning on switching and I hope Nelson’s is around forever.
TL:DR - Nelson’s did $5k worth of work and my transmission went out during delivery. They purchased my car for the amount I paid for repairs, and I now have an almost new vehicle thanks to the money back. I used it as down payment on a much newer car. Boo to car payments again, but I’ll never go elsewhere for repairs and you shouldn’t either!

My sister had her car fixed here and she was very pleased with the results. Staff were friendly and patient with her Tap & pay issues. Her car’s immediate needs were repaired and she was informed of what would be needed in the near future. No hard sell, just confidence she was not taken advantage of. Great place!

Josh has been more helpful, generous, and personable than you would/should expect from any automotive shop. I am so beyond greatful I was referred to this Nelson’s specifically. He clearly cares very much about his customers and takes into account their personal wellbeing during the repair process. He provided nice loaner vehicles in the interim period and has worked quickly on my vehicle. He’s cared about my son’s well-being throughout this process and has made major repair decisions based on that. I am so grateful for the customer service experience I’ve had. I couldn’t say anything better about my experience with Nelson’s. Josh has been extremely transparent, responsive and trustworthy in this process. My vehicle would never have been repaired without his help.

GO HERE!!! STELLAR TOP OF THE LINE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TOP OF THE LINE Mechanic services. WORTH every PENNY!! Let’s not forget to mention my normal mechanic shop lied to me about how bad my car was in condition and just kept taking my money and doing repairs I went here with in 5 minutes he came out and gently broke the very bad news to me and told me in all honesty it was not worth putting another penny into. MOST IMPORTANTLY they did there job and WELL.!!! I’m going back to get my new used car I had to buy again at this shop!! MUST GO HERE FOR ALL REPAIR SERVICES!!! There generous and VERY FAIR and most importantly HONEST!!!

ROUND TWO SECOND CAR!!! Only paid $108.00 for a full point inspection, that price may have had to do with my new used POS car lol. But they were very fast very efficient we are talking like 50 minutes TOPS; and AGAIN VERY HONEST. Second car is garbage as well only car hops warranty supposedly covers most of our problems so we will see!! Fingers crossed!! And very friendly yet again of course. And yet again I’d strongly recommend going here. I’ll update this as I use them more with more reviews sense I can only leave one review!!
