The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The woman who helped me today was able to find exactly what I was looking for and had such a nice nature. “Great place to shop, good place to sell.I will say, they are not very friendly and rather short with you on the phone while asking simple questions. I was repeatedly told “this was in your signed agreement” though I was never given one the day I sold. Only a receipt. Still a good and reputable place and I’ll keep coming back because it’s a great store with quality items.”

“Don’t go here - I had 9 clothing items at this place - when I called to check on them they would say you have sold nothing but it turned out my items were added to another person’s inventory they couldn’t locate them all so they said they took 4 pieces that were placed on another account they said were mine but the others items someone got some extra money - would not go back there ever”
“I went in on a day where they had 30% off and I purchased a $100 worth of things. However I do want to mention that some things are completely overmarked In price. Especially some of the furniture pieces that clearly you can buy somewhere else brand new for about as much as what they're asking.”
“We had such a fun experience at Retro Wanderlust this past Sunday. My husband and I stopped in and met the owner, Karen, who was an absolute delight—easy to talk to, welcoming, and clearly knows how to run a shop full of personality.
The store itself is basically a giant, beautifully chaotic treasure hunt in the best way. Every time you turn a corner or peek into a nook, there’s something unexpected waiting. We definitely didn’t have enough time to properly explore (honestly, you could lose a couple hours in there without even trying).
We left with a few fun finds and felt the pricing was very fair for what the store offers. For anyone claiming it’s “overpriced”… that’s really a perspective issue, not a store issue. Everything we saw felt reasonable, especially for the uniqueness of the pieces. A couple items didn’t have prices marked, but that just adds to the “you never know what you’ll discover” vibe—and Karen was quick to help and even worked with us on pricing, which we appreciated.
Overall, it’s one of those places you don’t just shop—you explore, you dig, you chat, and you leave a little happier (and probably wanting to go back with more time).”

“Empty the Nest is an occasional secondhand store with lots of unique finds, tucked in an office strip off the beaten path. They are typically open weekends but you'll want to join the 45k other facebook followers and keep an eye out for their hours and sales. There will likely be a line waiting for the doors to open on the first day of the sale. The second day they may discount everything 50%, sometimes more. Be sure to grab some green sold stickers near the entrance to claim your find in case another shopper is interested.
The reason they aren't open during the week is because the are busy emptying out houses as a part of their business model.
We enjoy bringing the kids and finding fun vintage toys and decor.
You'll definitely want to check it out of you love the thrill of the treasure hunt aspect!”
