With new requirements for a change of address, I had questions. I asked the gentlemen at the window in Wayzata a question. H e was very rude and said he didn't know anything about it, a form that was placed in my mailbox . His body language showed he could care less. Great way to welcome a new resident. Its been 3 weeks with no mail. From now on I'll drive to Excelsior.

I’ve been at this post office a number of times over the last few weeks and my experience each time was outstanding.

This is the cutest post office! No lines and helpful postal workers! Small parking lot available.

The employees here were really nice. The middle aged guy that was there right away in the morning answered my questions nicely/was very kind and ready to help, and the African American gentleman there at about 10am was very fast (I had to leave and come back to find a bigger box).

Had a package fail to be delivered to my address so I went to the location where the tracking number said it was which was the Wayzata location. I approached Shay at the counter to explain my situation. Before I could even finish he told me my package wasn’t there. I tried to tell him the tracking number said it was there. He said “nope, no way. You need to go to the Hopkins location” and gave me that location phone number and address. I called the Hopkins location to explain my situation and they told me the info that the tracking number provided was correct and to go back in the Wayzata location. I went back in to speak with Shay. This is when he realized that he would have to look for my package and basically told me he couldn’t do that and the package was going to be returned. Didn’t even try to help. Thanks Shay!

Hate to give review for post office which I respect a lot. But I have to do it for the benefit of others.Had bad experience similar to what other poor reviews here. Young gentleman at window seems to be having bad day and had least interest in helping us.Hopefully management will teach employees how to be helpful and respectful.Meanwhile I would suggest others to avoid this post office

Rude customer service! Very unhelpful. I was there today (Saturday) and the guy working the window wouldn’t envelope my paperwork for me, he made me get out of line and go back to one of their tables to grab an envelope. I then had to stand in line again and while I was standing in line for the second time, they closed. They wouldn’t even stay open for the three people who had been standing in line waiting. They also only had one window open. The guy at the window was rude and unhelpful. Worst post office experience I’ve ever had.

Arrived eight minutes late to the appointment for passport. The agent declined to process the passport because I was three minutes out of five minutes of their grace period. He offered to reschedule me, and when I asked him to reschedule, he said you can go to the website and schedule yourself. Very unhelpful and unprofessional. I do not recommend this post office.

Every time I ship things out of this post office they take considerably longer. Even priority packages. I’ve shipped priority packages to the same address and this one takes consistently 2 days longer. Media mail also.

I wanted to say a great big thank you to the the Wayzata Postal Office and in particular to Chris the on-duty manager. I went to apply for my Passport. The process was seamless and it was great to have an appointment so their wasn't any waiting around. I was able to fill out the paperwork there while waiting for my appointment. And get my picture taken right than and there. I was also able to use my debit card to pay and didn't have to go through the extra hassle of getting a cashiers check. On top of all that I had a mix up and didn't bring my most recent passport. Chris stayed late, after hours, so that I could bring him my most current passport to be sent with my paperwork that night. If he had not taken the extra time to do this I would have had to deal with a huge passport mess. Thank you Chris - your customer service is excellent and greatly appreciated!

The guy in here on Saturdays is awful and gives the reputation to government workers that most don’t deserve. Go to another post office when you need help.

Like so many others, we had a terrible passport appointment experience. This was for our 4 year old daughter; her first passport. And we finally had a day where my wife and I could both take off work, and be there for this. Well shame on us cause we arrived 8 minutes late and were immediately told to reschedule and come back; no exceptions, no thought to even consider squeezing us in. “We’re booked for the day and the next family is waiting.” Lucky them - we left and now they were 8 minutes AHEAD of schedule for their “full day.”The Chanhassen service center gave us an appointment 45 minutes later, thank goodness, and took care of everything. If you experience any common day-to-day occurrences that would cause you to be even one-second late to this place, do NOT book a passport appointment.

I was so grateful that they close at noon on Saturday. Parking could be a challenge during the week. Staff was very helpful and patient. No need of appointments for passports if you don't mind to wait. Passport pictures taking is available.
