In spite of everything nature can do to stop them in the 2023-24 season, the snow making crew at Welch Village continues to somehow provide a quality product. Tip of the cap to the entire staff.

I had our vow renewal there over the weekend. The staff were very friendly, easy to work with and not to mention the food was AMAZING!!! I will definitely be referring people to have there wedding/receptions here.

If I could rate this place a 0 star I would. I’ve been snowboarding for 10+ years and have never seen anything like it. If you have any customer services issues, good luck! Jamie will sit on the phone and yell and scream right at you!! Leave you 3 messages wishing 3 hours, 2 of them being within 15 minutes of each other. Don’t you have something better to worry about???! Running a business you’d think you’d have proper control over yourself, but she does not. How she still has a job here is beyond all of us. Good luck keeping a business open with that customer service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, DRIVE THE EXTRA 20 MIN TO AFTON ALPS!!!

The hills are great and the customer service is awesome. The Check-In process could be improved a bit. During the week the back bowl and a few lifts are closed.

Really nice overall. Runs are well groomed with a decent amount of variety for a Minnesota hill resort. The amenities in the chalet leave a bit to be desired (it'd be nice if there were some nice places to sit and enjoy the gorgeous views on a sunny day), and $4 for a cup of Folgers in a styrofoam cup makes me yell at the clouds. And the parking lot is the scariest thing about the whole place. But that said, we really enjoy coming here. Staff are super friendly, and the family has a blast.

Favorite (and best) local ski/snowboarding spot. Has the most runs of all Minnesota ski spots. I’ve done the math. East Chalet is super fun (if you can find a spot to sit ?). Would definitely have a season pass if we lived closer.

The most unaccommodating hill we have ever encountered; older chairlifts, runs are mediocre, and staff is not friendly. Youcannot buy tickets at the hill, you have to do it online despite spotty service. My husband somehow lost his lift ticket 1 hour in. He went in to get another. He was told they don't give replacements, and to just "chance it" on the hill, but was warned that if he got caught it would be a $200 fine. Since everything is electronic there is absolutely no reason they couldn't verify that he had bought a lift ticket that day. They then got a manager and made him ceremoniously put the new ticket they "blessed" him with on in their presence so he didn't "cheat" and give it to someone else. He was there with our young kids. So demeaning and ridiculous. Won't be returning. So many better options in the area, no reason to go here again.

Welch Village was great! Myself and my daughters skied this and Afton Alps the day before. We unanimously preferred Welch. We went on a Friday so the back bowl was open. Good stuff that back bowl! We did everything. Their beginner area looked nice too. Terrain Park with a fast rope tow. Chicken and a few others are nice and fast front side too. Cheaper than Afton ticket wise and food wise. The only thing Afton beats Welch in is merch. You guys need to step up your game in that area! ??. I'd come here again!

Hit a really good day for Midwest skiing. Plenty of good groomers with a little over night powder and a light crowd being a Friday. Made for fun outing with lots of varied terrain and a few long runs

Highly recommend Kevin as a snowboarding instructor. He had the patience of a Saint. I had a two hour lesson (complete newbie) and I left feeling confident in the skills he taught the small group (myself and two other individuals). The staff at the rental equipment place were also amazing at helping me figure out what I needed.I suggest arriving early to find parking.

Great skiing, and snow boarding experience at Welch. The daily lift ticket was about $70 per person for 9am to 9pm. The lift ticket included all the runs at Welch. We also bought the rental package that included boots, poles, and ski's/boards and helmets if you ask for one.

Nice resort! Plenty of lifts and pretty kind staff.Had one of the ski rental dudes give a bit of attitude, which did not make me feel super confident in someone who is supposed to help me with skis that support me plummeting down a mountain. Yet that doesn’t take away from the overall awesomeness.Would recommend bringing your own food if you are vegan/ vegetarian or don’t want fried foods. Our friends love the chicken wings at the other side of the mountain.

One of the best ski areas in Minnesota. Good place to start skiing and learn or experienced skiers. The ski chalets have a chill vibe and plenty of drinks and eats.

Excellent day of skiing at Welch. Somebody give Vinnie the lift guy a raise! He was very good with all customers today. Great attitude!

Very disappointed with Welch village. I live between Welch and buck hill. Always preferred Welch Because it has the best snow and easy to ski down. I went there on 1/7/23 and not the same experience. Was pure ice, no way they groomed trails, says it’s online ticket only but has no way to purchase them Becasue of bad service/ WIFI. Then when asking for help the person helped me said sorry nothing I can do. No room for anyone to put boots and proper gear on. Very disappointed in how it was.
