In 1962, the property was purchased by Harry and Marg Krueger, and in 1963 the ballroom portion of the venue officially opened, becoming a popular gathering place for community events and celebrations. After changing ownership several times and rebuilding following a fire that destroyed the ballroom, the property eventually ceased operating as an event venue and was used for antique sales. In 2018, Jeff and Ann Erickson purchased the historic property and restored it as an event center, culminating in its grand reopening in 2019. Today, the Golden Bubble continues its tradition of bringing people together for weddings, receptions, meetings, and special occasions while preserving an important piece of local history.”
