West St paul location, is just the worse. They're assistant manager Lisa is very disrespectful and unprofessional. Don't trust them with your money. They're terrible. You're money is not safe with this bank. They're not accountable for your money.

Snelling location ONLY????Unfriendly, Unknowledgeable staff. They treat customers like the customer is bothering them and taking their time.Very unfortunate.Hopefully not in business much longer to make way for a better alternative for the working public.Have had great experiences at other locations.Out of the way, but the west st paul branch is well managed ??

I am appalled to learn that you charge a monthly fee of $9 for keeping under $1,000 in checking. I work with adults with disabilities, who make just over $300/month, struggling to pay their bills. Many of them bank at Associated Bank and simply can’t afford the fee. Please reconsider it.

Have had plenty of good interactions at this branch and tellers have always been really kind to me and my children. This review may be more of a reflection of how associated does business in general. I have been searching coin rolls with my son to start filling out various coin folders/ albums. I have been to many branches to make small withdrawals of coin rolls in various denominations, always respectful if they were not able to accommodate my request due to coin shortage. Through my many withdrawals I was never charged a 20 cent per roll fee, with the exception of when I ordered two boxes of half dollars I happily paid the 20 dollar fee. Today I made a small withdrawal of coins 2 rolls of quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies and was told there is a 20 cent fee per roll. I had not been asked to pay this fee before so I respectfully brought this to the tellers attention and in a very stand-offish manner was told they always charge 20 cents per roll due to the coin shortage; which was not the case until today, with exception for the boxes I ordered. Ultimately agreed to convenience fee today to keep my son happy. There was an error in withdrawal amount and ended up being charged for 8 rolls instead of 7 not really worth fixing but still annoying.

I would not give them 1 star if i could, bill pay was not processed at all, lost payment checks (due to the creditor changing receipt addresses), were not refunded); late fees were not refunded as promised. They closed my account without my knowledge and kept my money, (when my address mysteriously was changed); they claimed I chose not to answer my phone, but they never emailed me, despite having my contact info. The managers never would meet with me in person, but when I was there, (in the lobby), they would be helping driveup customers, but not come meet with me. At the Eagan (MN) location, one employee told me that a VA id looked homemade. When I was finally able to reach a senior manager, Kevin Choi (if I am writing his name correctly), he told me that since the account was closed he could not help me, but he also stated that he was aware of the problems, but chose to not respond to me previously. The bank should be physically torn down and never be allowed to conduct business ever again in any state or US territory.

This bank is the WORST I have ever done business with. If it was possible I would give them no stars. Let me tell you a short beautiful story about how this company basically ruined my life. I was 18 at the time and just opened a checking account. I was so happy and working in retail. I was saving money for college and had no worries. One day I tried to buy myself a coffee at a caribou by my house. Unfortunately my card was declined. That was weird since I just got paid at the time. Well I called the company and was basically told my account was flagged for fraudulent activity and that I must come in right away. Which I did and I was NOT helped! I was blamed and pressured to sign a contract saying it’s my responsibility. As an 18 year old naive girl, I did sign that contract. I was afraid since they threatened me with court. I was blamed for thousands of dollars taken out through mobile bank checks that were NOT EVEN IN MY AREA. Now I was under a contract for paying it off $100 a month and I didn’t see an issue AT THE TIME. That was until my guardian told me what they did was ILLEGAL and not their job. I now can’t open ANY checking accounts. This is starting to ruin my life, credit etc. There are many other banks that won’t do this to you and WILL call you about any fraudulent activity. More than likely before it gets so bad and they blame you for it. That is my story and let me just tell you now after 4 years I WILL take them to court. I understand everything perfectly now and most importantly I understand you didn’t do YOUR job. I am so frustrated and disappointed in this company/branch. I will see you all in court and I expect my life back!

I have heard many things about this bank's unethical loan practices and now I have seen them for myself. Avoid this bank at all cost. Associated Bank services my mortgage loan. This year I wanted to prepay my taxes. I called their loan department to find out if they would suspend my impounds for the year if I prepaid or what I needed to do. I was advised that I would have to continue my impounds but that after the dates the mortgage installments were due they would confirm they were paid and then send me my refund for the overages. They did this after my May installment. After my Oct tax payment date I called Associated Loan services where I was told they no longer will send the overages I will have to wait until next May. That gives them my money for 18 months. This is not what they told me when I made my initial call. They can confirm that my taxes are paid. They can confirm that they have all that money in my escrow account as an overage. They originally told me they would refund after confirmation of tax payment and now they will not release my funds.

This is my first negative review I've ever wrote about any company. I usually just forget about bad service and move on. This is just my own fault for not leaving this Bank sooner. This is my third issue I've had in a year. The first issue I called them they said they're going to call me back and no one did. I had a second issue with them and went into the bank to talk to the banker. She said she'd call me back, I said I was told this last time I had an issue and no one ever called me back. She call me back later that day to tell me I will find more information out tomorrow and I will call you back. I never heard from him since. Today I go into the bank to wire some money. I have my two-year-old daughter. They said sit down someone will be right with you. Then they come up and tell me it's going to be an hour can you come back. They obviously have never had to take care of a two year old. I asked if someone else will help me I really need to get this done. They then dont say anything but give me a pamphlet and show me where another bank is that I can go which is in Saint Paul on Snelling. I'm in West Saint Paul. Round trip just in driving time is going to be over a half hour. This is my own fault for not leaving this Bank sooner. Again I really hate writing negative reviews but I don't want anyone else to go through this.

Two and a half months ago I requested a charge back at my bank, ASSOCIATED BANK of WEST ST PAUL . One of the Internet marketing company's I used did not perform the job as they described they would. So I called them. No problem they said, we owe you the monies for not preforming as we said. Here it is, take it. Cool, so I thought. Can you believe that one of the bankers mind you, not a teller, at ASSOCIATED BANK of WEST ST PAUL forgot their job!! Not a banker they know all !!! She did not remember to tell me their policies pertaining to charge backs. Two and a half months later after the charge back, ASSOCIATED BANK of WEST ST PAUL took from me, from my account with out any courtesy at all, the money I received from the charge back. This same banker said that she had forgotten to explain the policies, that they needed to take the money back. But, I said. The Internet marketing company said that they would not dispute the charge back. The money is mine. We're sorry, she said, we made a mistake but that's the policy. So.....the Internet Marketing company gave me my money back and ASSOCIATED BANK of WEST ST PAUL took it from me. Because............ You decide, is this the bank you want!
