Well there's a reason why this place has such a low rating. Once I finally get this prescription filled, I'm definitely switching. The process has been going on for around 3 weeks now. At first they didn't call to tell me I needed a preauthorization so the order just sat in limbo for who knows how long. Then they ordered the medication, only after they finally receive it do they figure out and tell me that they can't dispense it. So then they say that they're going to call my doctor, and they've given me no confirmation that this has happened either. So now I'm just waiting for them to get their act together I guess? What a horrid experience. HyVee Pharmacy is SO MUCH BETTER. UPDATE: This completely incompetent pharmacy invalidated my prescription, said they called my doctor but my doctor never heard from them, and wouldn't actually try to contact my doctor themselves. Don't bother trying to get anything done here: they won't bother. And neither should you. UPDATE: I went to the Walmart just south of here and that pharmacy filled the prescription as ordered by my doctor before noon on the same day they received the prescription. Take my word: avoid this CVS like the plague.

As everyone else has stated, the staff is overwhelmed and undertrained. Do yourself the favor of going somewhere else, especially for a COVID 19 test.

I wouldn't even rate them a 1 star. Went to do a pcr covid test. The directions online they had me read did not mention breaking off the swab in the tube. I have only done rapid test or saliva tests before. Both people who addressed me in the drive thru were not very friendly. When the reluctantly asked me if he needed to go through the directions I said no because I read the online one's and I knew how to adminster the swab. It would have been worth mentioning to make sure I break the swab off and leave it in the tube something that was not included in the online directions I got as a step in the process. When I realized there was a different set of direction in the bag behind another piece of paper I noticed that set said to break the swab off which did me no good now that I had put the swab in the plastic i took it out of. When I called them back I spoke to a representative who hung up on me when I asked her if I could speak to someone in store and just go back and redo it since I had just left or if I needed to make yet another appointment and also if she knew if my insurance would still be charged for a test they cannot complete. This was hands down the worst service I have ever recieved. Where is the empathy in the care provided here? I will never use this service again. I'll go pretty much anywhere else next time.

The pharmacist tried telling me I had to pay for paxlovid. She tried to charge me $55 telling me my insurance didn't cover it. My doctor had to call the CVS and tell them it was covered by the govt and then they gave it to me for free with no apology, and ZERO counseling about how the med should be taken. This CVS is a total dump.

Got a covid booster in April from pharmacist at CVS West St Paul. CVS pharmacy entered only part of my last name on the record, so the vaccine does not show up on the MN vaccine "Docket" website and the vaccine card on my CVS app does not have my correct last name. It's a problem for me since I work in health care and I travel. I went in person to the pharmacy three times to try to get this corrected. Was told "I'll write a note to myself to take care of this", "I will have someone fix this on Monday" and today (It's July 5 now) a tech spoke with the pharmacist and gave me the phone # to Minute Clinic - when I called Minute Clinic (no surprise here) they could not help. I phoned back so I could contact the pharmacy supervisor I was told she doesn't have an email. The person on the phone took my information and said "give it 7 days". I'd like to think a company that gives prescription drugs to patient would be a little more precise and organized. Too bad there's no zero rating here. Once I get this cleared up (if I ever do) I will never go to West St Paul CVS pharmacy again.

Went to the drive through on a snow blowing day. The sign that dictates which lane you need to be in had blown over do to the wind. I got up to the window after a 20 minute wait to be told I had to go in the other lane. I asked why I couldn't just get my prescription in this lane and the man said that was only for covid testing. I was literally 3 feet away and he wouldn't help me out. What a joke. I asked again and he refused to help me out, just apologizing about the sign. Get your Ass out there and put the sign up so the next customer doesn't waste they're time! I will be going to Walgreens from now on!

HORRIBLE prescription experience here. The Staff are fine, but the CVS System is BROKEN. If an item is not in stock, your auto-refill won't work. Since it won't auto-refill, you have to call them or stop in and ask for it. You must talk to a person. The system is built as if you would not want prescriptions that do not happen to be in stock. You can't ask for it via the website or automatic phone system, you have to talk to a person. When you try to reach a person, it can take 10 minutes or more wait time on the phone. After multiple attempts to reach a person on the phone over the last few weeks I finally got a person today and she told me that if something is not in stock I should know that I have to call them and tell them that yes, I do indeed need it refilled. Worst system ever.

Literally would give zero stars if I could. The pharmacy here is so horrendous I have never once had a good experience. They're slow, unorganized, can't do easy tasks. I have filled my prescriptions there for years and last time they said I didn't have insurance on file. They were too incompetent to read that I had insurance on file and it took them an extra 15 minutes that I had to sit there while they realized I was on file. In tho if that, their drive through is the slowest on earth.

This has got to be the worst pharmacy I have ever had the displeasure of being a customer of. Understaffed, and the existing staff (specifically Terry I believe is the name) is incredibly incredibly rude, and literally yelled at me for asking a question about my prescription. When I asserted that she was yelling and didnt have to, she never acknowledged my feedback and never apologized, just kept on being rude and short.

When they run out of your prescription, they'll call another location for you to go get it, rather than coordinating with them to get the meds to your normal location. This is fine if you drive, but really inconveniences anyone who relies on public transportation. Not what you'd expect from a massive chain pharmacy.

I was a customer here for years and ever since I switched pharmacies, it's been so wonderful. The pharmacists at CVS seem to be very short staffed, therefore wait times are at least 20 minutes. They'd call and text me a few times a day saying my medication was ready, however when I would arrive, my medication wasn't even filled. They would leave voicemails on my parent's phones, remind you that is a violation of HIPAA. The cost of medication here seems to be higher than other pharmacies, even their non pharmaceutical products are very over priced.
