“Lots of Food on the block, 10 min from St Paul and basically every direction. Friendly service. Adjustable room rates for extended stays. Will stay here again in town.

“Tosha is a wonderful ray of sunshine, when she wants to be. Not the best in hotel performance overall. It works for a place to stay at in a pinch. Depending on the room, you may or may not get functioning amenities. I chose it due to not having anywhere I could afford to be with my dog. I did gift some stools out front which I hope are being used.”
“Fantastic hotel! I would rate this place far above other hotels. Incredibly clean and kept! A lot of attention to detail. I’m super anal about my hotels and this is seriously the best I’ve seen! Service was above and beyond and service/food in their restaurant will have me return. I am so surprised with our stay. We WILL be back. Impressed with their care and upkeep. No wear and tear noticed. All up to date. Thanks to the entire staff!!!!”

“I did not stay here but I had breakfast here. The breakfast was great and the wait staff was excellent. After we finished our meal our waitress told us some of the history of the dining rooms. She also took the time to show us the other dining rooms and encouraged us to look around. Even the bathrooms were finished with a lot of woodwork. Next time in Stillwater we plan to stay here.”

“Spent a lovely weekend here with my wife and visited with friends. Very unique architectural design in an old building with modern amenities. Very comfortable. Love the restaurant and the coffee shop. All the staff members were excellent and attentive.”

“Simple, clean, and friendly staff! Fridge and microwave in your room. Breakfast every morning, and also everything else you may need at the front desk. Laundry room is nice plus as well.

“A perfect hotel experience! The rooms are slightly dated, but very clean, with super comfortable beds, great coffee in the morning (not all hotels have that), friendly staff, the location is great, and there wasn't any flashing smoke detector light right by my bed (my personal pet peeve in hotels). It was quiet besides, and I had a very restful night there. Thanks Countryside!”
“The staff is friendly. The location is decent. Parking is plentiful. Rooms are nice. There's a shopping center right around the corner. The only minus for me are the beds. A little too firm for me. Feels like sleeping on a hard surface after awhile.”
“Our experience here was great. Joan the general manager and Joseph at the front desk were more than accommodating. It started off a bit rocky, as we booked our stay through a third party (will never do that again- we were scammed!). We learned to always book through a hotel in general. Joseph was attentive, communicated clearly, and was compassionate as we tried to figure out our night stay. Joan then stepped in and vouched for us through the third party booking site and ensured we had a room for the evening. Overall a great experience from staff, we will stay at this hotel again if we are in the area!”
“Our King Suite with a Jacuzzi was amazing. It’s very spacious with two separate rooms divided by French doors. Bed was very comfortable and room very clean It’s the largest room in the hotel and well worth it. During our visit in mid-February we had the hotel to ourselves which made our stay even more special. We got to experience the pool and hot tub with just the two of us. The room, hotel, cleanliness and service deserves five stars plus. The breakfast was basically non existent so I had to give my overall score four stars. We ended up going to Perkins across the highway for our breakfast.”

“Set in beautiful Stillwater MN. The view of the draw bridge was spectacular. Beautiful country with great views. Hotel staff is courteous, and professional. Rooms are elegant, and old fashioned. A great place to visit; even if the television still doesn't work.
