We mostly use family area with our toddler in tow, several cardio machines, dumbbells 3-25lb, and a cable machine up to 94lbs. So, the family area is great for light workouts/HIIT/bodyweight. Kids play area is perfect little people. This gym shines in the human department though. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Very personable.

Great gym, just way too small for the number of people you have on this base. Definitely need to be remodeled.

Imo could use tome funding and attention. It's always very hot and doesn't seem that clean. Their are some older machine or machine that could be updated or replaced.

Definitely no where close to home nice the gym was at Nellis but it's all that's available to prior service.

One positive is the staff is really nice here.. But if you like to lift weights like I do, I’d highly recommend you try another gym. The weight room is tiny and if there’s a decent amount of people there you’re kinda screwed. Probably the worse weight room I’ve been to being in the military.

Pretty beaten up and old equipment. It’s a military gym so what else can you expect.

It’s not a bad gym, if you go at the non-busy times. The staff are really friendly and always around. It’s just the equipment, it’s old and outdated and you can tell they just don’t allocate enough funding to the fitness health of the installation. I give it 3 stars just because if you do go during the non-busy times it’s really not too bad, it may be old and limited as far as equipment, but you can get workouts done. If you’re stationed at Keesler, worth it to pay for an off-base gym. If you’re TDY here, you can make it work for the 3-4 months you’re here. Just wish it got more attention and drew more funding. Again, the staff is great.

Good gym. Clean restrooms and locker rooms. Has all the equipment that you need to get a good workout in. Everything is easy to find as well.

Really small for a base gym. Needs more space and equipment. Also, suggesting a kickboxing heavy bag.

Small gym. Doesn’t have enough equipment for the amount of people that go there

I'm enjoying the zumba class 3 days a week and I've used some free weights. Nicely kept, friendly front desk and bathrooms were clean.

Very small gym. Sweat the whole time and over crowded. Glad they have an option on base though.

I would say the 5 stars on here are from people that have not seen or have been in a proper gym before. Maybe from folks who came from a town with a population of 100. This gyms lacks a proper wieght room with adequate space and updated equipment. Both sauna's are also not operational. Nothing has changed in this gym in almost the 26 years since I left Keesler AFB. The CO or whomever needs to seriously budget some funds to build and equip a Keesler gym.
